An endless supply of crap will not trigger the revolt you imagine.
Look around you. if you're hypothesis were correct it would have happened a long time ago.
I'm considering buying a new car next year.
I went to the mfr's site, spec'ed my car, and was presented a "fill this out to get a dealer quote".
Dealer calls & asks "when can you come in to test drive?"
I respond "I know what I want. Please send a quote."
Dealer "Sorry, I don't know how to do that; I'll have someone call you"
Next call same thing, except the ending is "Well, we'll have to have our sales mgr call you."
Absolutely insane I can't even get a price on a product I want to buy.
Back in the day, you'd go to American Auto Brokers and get a quote showing dealer cost less dealer incentives, rebates, etc. And a markup of ~250.00 or so.
Take the printout to your local dealer "This is what I'll pay".
If they didn't sell it to you, AAB would. Plus another $250 if you want their guy to drive it to your house.
Now I can't even find them, but there's a ton of other "auto broker" sites that seem just as scammy as the dealers.
Fscking disgusting.
I hear your frustration. I won't say that I understand your frustration because I am not you.
Some time ago I made a decision that if everyone thinks i'm a jerk, then forget them!
I discovered I did not like the results I got from that. So I tried something different.
Absolutely agree
I have a very good friend and colleague who has Asperger's
He cares how his actions and words affect other people because he's not an asshole.
Most of the time he can figure out these interactions just like any other engineering problem.
And if he's unsure he just asks.
The best way to tell a lie is to tell the truth in such a manner as your victim won't believe you.
in the US paradigm, individual rights are not "granted" to you by the government. In our paradigm, individual rights are an attribute of the individual. Individual rights exist whether someone recognizes them or not. If someone fails to recognize those rights, that is their error.
That is the US way of looking at things. It's not true for everyone.
The US paradigm is one of the most extreme examples of placing the individual ahead of the group.
We are an outlier.
For us to shout that our paradigm is the ONLY ONE and everyone else is wrong is...unconvincing.
Most people do NOT live this way.
Many Asian, Scandinavian, African, Pacific-Islander, and, and, and...other cultures tend further towards group-focus than individual-focus.
Here we have a counter-example.
Of course it's censored. What are you fscking stupid?
CNN: "Hey, folks, did you know the first amendment to the US Constitution does NOT apply to China? Huh? Didja? Please click on our link. Pleeeaaase."
I go to sleep and I don't have the solution.
I wake up and now I have the solution.
Problem: I cannot invoice for the time spent coming up with the solution.
They don't say anything about the homestar being under acceleration, so maybe they haven't moved in yet.

We have pretty decent medical insurance with prescription benefits, but lately the prescription part has been getting weak.
Last month our provider decided that one of my wife's prescriptions was no longer covered and wanted thousands for a 3-month supply.
3 months of the exact same prescription was available from amazon pharmacy for less than $100.00.
Maybe amazon is selling at a loss to crush the competition and gain a monopoly?
Naahhh...they wouldn't do that.
I don't see this behaviour
