Oh please, you're making things up about Trump. Putin would have done what Putin would have done whether or not Trump was president. Besides, all signals Trump gave was that he wouldn't do something like lead with American air strikes if Russia invaded Ukraine. Let's be honest, Trump likes his ego being stroked, and the best you would have seen is him trying to get TV footage of him shaking Putin's hand as they made a "deal", with Trump coming home waving a piece of paper all Neville Chamberlain-esque.

I don't believe YouTube uses 50mbs for 4K.  I know they don't use HEVC, but that requires half that bitrate, even for a poor implementation like x265.

YT uses AV1 and VP9 for 4K, and even shitty VP9 tops out at less than 30mbs in the following example, with 4K options in the ladder at a lower bitrate than this (down to 12mbs for AV1).  This is the for the "Peru" 8K60 video, with anything below 1080 in the ladder removed:

Sending static versions is horrific and quickly falls down when more than two people are involved. You end up in version hell, not quite knowing which is the latest (or worse, you have parallel divergent edits) and no easy way to merge the changes.

The online version of Word is also shit, even after years of Microsoft working on it: edits are laggy and itâ(TM)s trivial to fuck up the formatting that then takes hours to fix in the desktop version.

There is NO reason at all to give a third party access to your smart devices. They want it because of the history of privacy stealing on the internet, but you get no benefit for this kind of thing.

You want to make a smart home? Make sure everything you buy is:

1) Hardware NOT directly connected to the internet. It should connect to a local network, not given permission to go outside your IP address. Have the software hosted on your devices, nothing else.

2) Be controllable via simple, publicized API commands. Then you buy/create INDEPENDENT software, not controlled by the hardware manufacturer, that you may (or may not) connect to the internet, installed on separate devices(computers0.
