Submission + - The "Improved" Google Image results page

Thomas Nybergh writes: "Apparently someone at Google thinks we're not using our mice enough. In what appears to be an attempt to satisfy panicky users who get confused by informative User Interfaces, the image search results page now requires the user to place the mouse cursor on the image thumbnails to see information about the picture in question, including the domain name, file size, image format and resolution. According to my own testing, this bizarre crime against usability takes place in IE (5.5 and newer), in Gecko based browsers and Opera. KHTML (i used Konqueror 3.5.5) users are spared."

Fortunately, they have the Chinese government to protect them from such destructive information."
