people use graphical interfaces because they don't want to type for things. i'm not sure people (particularly older citizens) would like to type to the OS. and a lot of people don't like to talk to their computers instead.

I predict chatgpt will be integrated with windows in less than a year.

having said the above, imagine if you could give natural english instructions as a script.

for example "install latest nvidia driver and disable all optional components" or "change my dns to 8.8.8.8"

it could allow non technical people to write automation scripts... and make some jobs redundant i'm afraid

thanks, my own (quick) research pointed out to the Mikrotik 4 port version https://www.servethehome.com/m...

supposedly as long as i don't enable any custom features i would get 10 Gb switching speeds

now off to wait until frontier does the deed. they have just started to announce that they are "coming" to the neighborhood

yes, people care.

the idea is that you should not need to download a third party app that is only compatible with users of said third party app. if apple adopted rcs that means the default sms app of either platform will work and mms will effectively be killed

i would switch to imessage on android if that was possible instead of rcs. it would actually be funny if apple decided to provide imessage for android instead of rcs support.

the USB one has actually got some merit. at the company i work at we identified several cheap wireless usb dongles (for use with wireless mice for example) contain trojan code that sends all your input to China/Russia. therefore it's company policy to not use wireless/bluetooth devices on company laptops (outside of wifi)
