Been using Macs since the 512. The 2018 Macbook pro is the last one I will ever buy. Soldered memory and drive. Glued battery. Lack of ports. I'm done with apple.

For me it was 2022 when I discovered PopOS! after like 28 years (has it been that long?) of searching for a decent linux desktop since first trying slackware in 1994. Remember having to recompile the kernel to get mouse support?

This is truly a miracle.... if by miracle you mean science. I mean, science _is_ pretty incredible so I can understand how one might confuse the two. The easy way to tell them apart is that one is real, while the other is not.

I have been searching for a Linux desktop for decades but it just never seemed to be quite there. But last year I discovered PopOS! It is professionally polished and just works. I have finally ditched both Windows and Mac.
