So, i have this idea. but what to do about it.

Generalization
I was looking ahead at a future problem that I would have to solve in order to do something the way I want to do it.

The Idea
I am trying to make something work in a way that it was not designed. the solutions offered on the web could work, but dont offer much flexibility or the dynamics that I want. The solution is fundamentaly simple and can be very usefull. I saw the question widespread, but not the solution.

Profit
The question the now comes to mind is how to collect on it. It is almost too simple to patent and the very mentioning of it will reveal its secrets. the solution will become the way to do it. my fear is that the only way i will profit is from sueing those that use it because people won't realize that it is patented. and that is not me. I would compare it to the amazon oneClick checkout suits or the eBay auction suit.

Ownership
The second question results in ownership of the idea. I work at a University in a departments IS department. I was hardware support, but now do internal data oganization tools. This idea is inresponce to a question that I asked myself while looking ahead at possible future needs and accessing my skills against them with the technologies that I like. The only thing that would give work a claim to it is the fact that it was the enviroment I was in to trigger the initial thoughts. The actual solution came in my own time at home.

Cost
The advantage I do have in this situation is that I work for a university. If I patent this myself, the costs would start at $1000 or more. I should pay a lawer to protect it corectly and pay for suits (not that I want to do that). I would also have to market and sell it myself. Working for the University is an advantage because they pay royalties and handle all the legal and patent costs. I would collect 15-30% by surendering my rights to them, rights that could questionable because I work for them.

Final Notes
The cost is a problem for me, excluding my car, computer, and what I owe on Credit Cards, $1000 is more than all my belonging.

It is hard to fund good domain names. I wanted to post this last time, but quickly got off subject and went into a history lesson.

I spent a good week looking, hunting, and searching. Looking up random terms and words. in lititure and RPG games. religion, worlds, gods, stars, countries, seas. Looking for the simple and unique word. I found several possible and only a few that would work. I spent a lot of time looking at this list and speaking the word. three jumped out at me.

The one I realy wanted that I thought was available turns out to be one of those domain for sale website and I have not heard back form them. I registered the other two. www.syntache.com and www.omean.com.

So why was I looking for a new domain? and why did I want atleast two of them?

I am building something. something that needs it own unique title. a name that people will share and remember and is unique.

The other domain will be the name of the company that releases that product.

sites are not up yet. still configureing dns and webserver. test server is currently up.

It is so hard to find a good .com domain. I already had a few, but havent done anything with them.

www.truedesign.org was my first. As a highschool student doing web design, that worked out fairly well.

www.northplatteonline.com, www.mynorthplatte.com, www.northplatte.cc was going to be a directory for the closest town. I was watching for www.northplatte.com to open up because it was dead and about to expire, but they renewed it.

www.lincolnadds.com was going to be the place to post and brows adds for the local city.
www.matzinwinsinlandslide.com was the adds site addapted for trading books for college students to help a friend with student elections.

www.talentfinder.net was an online application survey that was realy a personality test to bettter understand potental applicants for a small office.

www.kevinmarquette.com my personal website, borring, simple, empty. I just put something up.

all of them have been lost. college student buying temporary server space and then decides he doesn't need it any more and just lets the sites die. haha, die, they never had any users. all were proof of concept sites.

The power of AI. Smith witness to the imposible, the reserection of neo and his own destruction, realizes that the rules are flexable even changeble withing the matrix.

A body within the matrix acts as a pointer back to the body in the real world. everyone still plugged into the matrix is part of the matrix. so the body is a pointer to the matrix that points to the physical body.

An agent is a single object within the matrix. they move from one body to another by intercepting the pointer. the body then points back to the agent that then points back to the physical body. so agents can move from one body to the next. when leaving a body, they restore the original pointers. (usualy leaving a dead body).

Smith is unplugged. he no longer manipulates pointers. once he has access to a pointer, he overwrites the data that it is pointing to and thus copies himself.

Am I the onlyone that picked up on it, or just overanalizing it.

at the very end Neo feels the machines much like he did the agents earlier in the movie. He stops the machines just like he would bullets. Realizing that zion is not real he goes blacks out. its his mind understaning but wanting to reject the idea.

To fully explain my thought I have to work backwards from the end. thats the only way the logic fits.

the architect. we all know neo is the "One". the one is guided step by step back to the scource. where we learn that the first two matrixes failed miserably. the discovery by the oricel of choise where 99% of the subjects accepted it. the last 1% inhabit zion. choise also gives rise to the anomily. like a memory leak, if left unchecked would throw the whole ballance off. the system is designed so the one would return to the core to reload the matrix.

so, the matrix was build to enslave humanity and to guide the one to the core for reloading.

watching the interaction with neo and the matrix, you can see the guidence that he receives. but what about the guidence from zion. The crew on the ship get their insperation from the orical and we know she is part of the system interested in her survival.

the zion councel guided neo and his crew. I beleive that the councel members were picked from the last matrix to start zion and that the member that talked to neo that one night was the last "one".

I would go into my thought on Agent Smith, but I will move that to another post. one quick note, having zion part of the matrix would enable Smith to travel between them.

and now back to the beginning, the growing threat of war on zion. The purpose of the attack is to create urgency and drive neo to the core.

things mentioned over and over sum up to this, choise is an ilusion based on cause and effect and every thing has its purpose.

My girlfriend (Crystal) went back home for the weekend. Meg and Gily are a couple and are close friends with us. Crystal was going to pick Meg up at her place on her way out of town. I get a call from Gily asking if we should go out to Old Chicago after he got of work at 10:30. Realising that I would be picking him up from work, we decided on the one close to his house. Crystal calls Meg and she is driving Gily to work. So Crystal realises that she has time before she has to leave. I get a call from Gily that he dont have to work and that we should go out later. Crystal leaves because she knew that Meg was home. She leaves and I get another call. "hay, why dont you come over and play xBox". Ok.

I let Crystal take my car and I was stuck driving hers around town. I get over there to Gily's place and I realize that I also gave Crys my cell phone. I have no way to call Gily and have him let me in. He is on the third floor and there is to much space between the floors to climb the balcanys. I go over to the main entrance to the appartment complex. Someone was just leaving as I got there. I walk right in. Gily was surprised that I got in. We decided to get beer and drink it at the appartment. we run to the store and when we get back, Gily had left the keys in the appartment. This time we spend half an hour at the front entrance before someone let us in. We played a little Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.

Gily had received a hand me down computer from his mom. She got a new one, he got the old one. It wasnt much better than the one he had, just 2x the cpu power. we got talking and I decided to switch out the Hard drives on them. the older one had all his crap and was 3 Gigs bigger. I swapped them out and had to mess with a few drivers, but it eventualy booted up. The system was running slow as hell. I realy wanted to reformat/reinstal tha system, but didnt say anything about it. I uninstaled everything that I thought was crap and used msconfig (win 98 system) to disable things from loading at start up. It felt like a new computer again.

This lady fell down where I work and she is getting $$$ for it. I was there when she fell. I was surprised to hear that a lady slipped on some candy and is getting $$$. I asked a few questions and found out it was the same person. There was a lot that happened in that situation and not once was slipping on candy mentioned.

So I mentioned this to the manager on duty. He asked if I told the director what I knew. I have to go into work and give my statement. I shouldn't write any more than this here.

Should stupid people be able to sue when its realy there fault? or can I sue anyone for my own stupidity? It like suing fast food for making you fat, or dumping coffie in your lap.

I have grown tired of the University and was going to register at South East for a semester of classes and transfer them back to the University. So I went to South East today (as planned) and while I was looking at the student guide, I saw a set of classes I could take and get out of school in a year. I am checking my options and it looks like something that I would enjoy doing, if it works out.

The first obvious problem was the location. It is in the next town. I get to choose between driving into downtown trafic or spend 15 min on the interstate. Problem solved, interstate for me.

Classes started yesterday. Now that they have started, I have to register for the classes I will take. I tend to put things of untill the last moment. Like now, I am writing in my journal (that I started last night) when I should be making my final adjustments.

I am tired of classes. College just is not my thing. I am currently Comp Sci, but I am having troubles with the Arts and Sciences college. I am in the process of switching to something business. MIS I supose. I am a natural programmer, but all my other skills dont cut it any more.

The start of one's journal. What words should one choose to mark the beginning of one's record on life. Would one think longer or harder if it were to be in stone. Here are my thoughts and feelings to be hidden away amongst the eyes of strangers.
