Yes, yes they are. He was on this before the dems gave a rat's ass about it. They attacked him for restricting travel to China back in January, and some brought out their pet accusation of racism. Yet it slowed the spread to the US. Dr. Fauci even thanked him for that quick response.
Then they lie and attack and say he hasn't been doing anything about it, but what were they doing in January? Impeachment, that's what. They start a panic, claim it's all mishandled, and get their lapdog media in on it; Italy gets hit hard; Trump says, "not enough?.. ok" and bans travel to Europe, and now HE's causing the panic? Laughable.

Exactly. It isn't global yet, and started in something less than first world conditions. That ratio (deaths : contracted) is going to increase as more first world regions get it and there are more survivors.
What are the numbers in say, Italy, as an isolated case?

It isn't the flu, but it is flu-like: high fever and chest congestion. This generally isn't killing healthy people, so the risk is being exaggerated by the media for several reasons, both traditional and more current. I haven't seen much quackery on the web at all regarding COVID-19, but I see they took their obligatory pot shot at Trump. I'm concerned for my 80 yr old father in law, but other than that, I don't expect I'll drown in my own lung's fluids if I do contract it.

Because it seems if we're happy delaying COVID-19's spead by just 2 weeks to a month by temporarily quarantining small pockets of people only to let them go in a little while, because it'll prevent the hospitals from getting overcrowded, the same logic applies to the border.

This is exactly backward: the fear is exacerbated by the Democrats and their puppet media, to do exactly what they're doing to the stock market, because it's an election year. They often mused that the only way to take Trump down was to damage the economy. The more they can make the Trump admin look bad, or claim they mishandled this, the better for them. Or did we forget they already tried attaching a stigma by ridiculously trying to name this the "Trump virus" a few weeks ago? Which obviously didn't stick.
No one is politicizing this more than Pelosi and Schumer, along with the usual puppets/culprits: the NYT, CNN, the Guardian, and HuffPo.
But when it all started months ago, the Trump administration was already responding by closing ports and shipments from China while all Pelosi and Schumer had on their plate was the impeachment obsession.
The media is blatantly trying to spin and twist the situation. But straight from Dr. Facoui's mouth, who's a frequent go-to for the media, thinks the admin is doing a good job. (He also flatly denies being "muzzled" as many sources have erroneously reported)

Not only that, but it wouldn't just be up to the President; this would be a global wide phenomenon and decision to make. The UN would get involved.
It would more sense for them to say "one revolution of your planet (around your star)" as the logistics and deliberation would take months and months.

But I also can't help but chuckle and think of the Danny DeVito meme, "So anyway, I just started blasting..."
