Piercing the corporate veil is about holding shareholders responsible for the same things as the corporation. That's going to backfire for any widely held company. Cases like this hold executives responsible, which is a different legal concept, and is likely to be much more effective in managing the behavior of corporate executives.
When your property causes damages to others, you, the owner, get billed, not an inanimate object. If you don't feel comfortable enough with being responsible for what your property is doing, why do you continue to own this property? And why should I care or that it's "widely held"?

The "trustable" part is the app store, so just install apps from that and nothing changes. Nobody is forcing you to use other app stores or payment methods, you just might pay more to use Apple's services simply because they charge more.
FALSE. As soon as sideloading is allowed, some major app vendors (looking at you, EPIC) will try their utmost to strongarm users into downloading apps outside the Appstore. Sure, nobody is holding a gun to my head forcing me to download a specific app, but that snideness is not helpful either.

Itâ(TM)s a common misconception that they need to make the source code freely avalaible to anyone. They only need to make it available to those to whom they distribute the binaries and there is no obligation to post it on a public webserver instead of either hiding it behind a customer account login or having it only available upon request.
