Comment Re:Until the veil is pierced, enforcement is a jok (Score 1) 34

Piercing the corporate veil is about holding shareholders responsible for the same things as the corporation. That's going to backfire for any widely held company. Cases like this hold executives responsible, which is a different legal concept, and is likely to be much more effective in managing the behavior of corporate executives.

When your property causes damages to others, you, the owner, get billed, not an inanimate object. If you don't feel comfortable enough with being responsible for what your property is doing, why do you continue to own this property? And why should I care or that it's "widely held"?

Something's not right here. Not at all.

Since 1979, our productivity rose by 65%. The average work day barely changed in length, if anything, it got longer. Now, one could understand if our compensation went up by 65% as well, but it didn't. In 1979, you could sustain a family of 4 on a working paycheck.

Why does outright FALSE bullshit like this get upvotes? You're right in saying that the compensation hasn't gone up 65% since 1979. Only because it has gone up much MUCH MORE.

I like that iphones are trustable. I want something that just works.

The "trustable" part is the app store, so just install apps from that and nothing changes. Nobody is forcing you to use other app stores or payment methods, you just might pay more to use Apple's services simply because they charge more.

FALSE. As soon as sideloading is allowed, some major app vendors (looking at you, EPIC) will try their utmost to strongarm users into downloading apps outside the Appstore. Sure, nobody is holding a gun to my head forcing me to download a specific app, but that snideness is not helpful either.

- Then, they will punish you from any deviation of the rules, and while doing so they will lock you out of the entire account, including all your other games.

Of course, that's the entire point, duh - keeping users responsible. If you don't want to behave responsibly, that's great, just don't expect to keep access to their games and to be able to continue ruining the games for others. It's great. FINALLY.

Dafuq? All you have to do is buy a Pi, download and write the image to SD, answer a few questions and modify your DNS in the router.

What you just wrote would entirely fly over the heads of 95%+ of all computer users.

Dafuq, indeed.
