You are mixing correlation and causation again. Poor people from say Africa or even Eastern Europe cannot just walk across a border and arrive in the United States of America. Yes there is a correlation to one being a poor, unskilled and illegal laborer in the USA and being "brown". The republicans would love to toss all of the former group out, regardless of the amount of pigmentation in their skin.

Ah but you miss the point, with a manned moon base we'd always have the high ground in any conflict...
Lob a "small" rock from the moon back at the earth and you have a bomb that is nuclear level effective, but will not render the area unihabitable by humans. The lower number could be used to pay for said base (and likely it would be manned by military personel anyway)

Basically they are using the same technology that oil companies use to get to oil. Given the press over some methane in water allowing it to burn, just imagine the public outcry when lava starts showing up in your tap water! You try to hose down a fire, and instead it sets the rest of the lawn ablaze. Luckily all that pumice means that the town residents will be very clean and not need to go to the local spa to get the epidural scrub.

I ditched my Pre after the HP fiasco with WebOS and bought a new Android phone. Look I can actually use Flash on it (one of the selling points on my Palm Pre was that a Flash player would be out in a few months when I bought the Pre shortly after launch). And people develop stuff for it.

Not sure about that exact model, but most cars will work on 100% biodiesel, it's just that with the variations in the processes no two batches of biodiesel are exactly the same. So they cover their ass on manufacturer variablity and say that 5% is the only approved amount. Basically it shoudl work fine, but if you get a bad batch and it scews up your motor they won't cover the repair.

Journey to Forever isn't a very reliable source, some of the info on there is just plain wrong.
Take anything you read about biodiesel from the homebrwer websites with a healthy dose of skepticism. A good chunk of the people there have no effing clue what they are talking about (admitedly I've seen some *very* knowledgable folks there too, but they are much rarer than the guy that flunked organic chemistry who is putting forward his notion of what should be done)
