As Paul Thurott sumrised in his recent "Windows Weekly" podcase, failure to sign the agreement would have allowed Microsoft to say "Fuck You" and stop producing Call of Duty for the Playstation. Hey, it was a nice offer; but also, Microsoft/Activision earns a billion dollars a year from the COD franchise, so it would be dumb to stop production for the Playstation platform - and would probably trigger shareholder action.
Don't you mean, the airlines are "overcharging" for direct flights to the midflight destination?
A more fair way to charge for tickets would be to assign a rate to passenger + baggage weight, and bill people for flights based on how much fuel they use. OK, it's a FAT TAX but also charges people more for bringing heavy suitcases. If you're skiplagging, you probably are not checking bags and only bringing carry-ons, so you're using less space in the airline - which is their primary limitation, not fuel.
As if the rise of China and their constant hacking of US corporations and government entities isn't a larger, REAL, looming threat than UFOs.
1) If there are not real UFOs, and these are military research projects, we should STFU about them and continue our work.
2) If there ARE real UFOs, we should continue the work re-engineering the foreign technology, and ALSO we should STFU about this work.
Nothing good can come from making this information public before it's actualized as new science & engineering breakthroughs.
The flip side of massive immigration is to answer the question: what do immigrants need?
The answer is: EVERYTHING.
So this is an opportunity to build out infrastructure, housing, schools, hospitals, and the other services needed for a giant influx of population.
1) Many Americans are prejudiced to favor people born in India, to assume they are smarter and more adept with technology than they are. Stop it.
2) H1B Visa holders are merely the tech industry's attempt to reduce tech wages by bringing in people willing to work for less compensation. Stop it.
COD is not merely profitable on the Sony Playstation, it is likely MORE profitable on the Playstation than on the XBox because Sony sells double the number of Playstations compared to Xbox sales. Also, Sony has in the past had exclusive early access to COD, which is a sign that under Sony's control, they might make ?COD exclusive, as they have with several other A-List titles.
The broadband companies have plenty of money to pay for infrastructure; they simply need to stop overpaying their CEOs, and stop asking for handouts.
The US should respond to this as an act of war, as the hackers are supported by or in the employ of China.
The State Department should show some balls on this.
There should also be a protest at the UN.
I use Notepad ++ for notes that don't require screenshots, and Word for how-to documentation with pictures. I've also created wikis using WordPress. Full Adobe Acrobat is helpful as well as Microsoft Visio, depending on who you need to share the information with, and what you need to document.
This is why I propose that Musk be lead captain of the first mission to Mars.
