MANY of these engineers are going to start businesses which will directly compete with Google over the coming decades in many ways. They didn't have a functioning product before they changed their entire company's direction, including it's name, with no warning. They *still* don't have a real product, they barely have a proof-of-concept demo. I've seen Unity tutorials on YouTube with more advanced features than Meta's entire metaverse.
