Comment Air Force Tradition (Score 2) 270

Part of the problem stem from the first commandant/general of the Air Force who required all of the pilots to be college graduates. This is dumb. Israel does not require this, and I bet their pilots can whip our butts. Additionally, why do piolots have to be officers? From what I read most pilots want to fly; they don't want to lead. If they must be officers of some kind, make them warrant officers.

And Prometheus shows this. Another question though what is the point of the sequel (and I don't me monesy)? What are they going to examine? Bladerunner examined on of Dick's major question: What does it mean to be human? Are they going after this again? Just what is the question. Yeah, maybe they should use Harrison Ford and Sean Young together again, why not show the effects of aging.

Glenn Reynolds (http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/) has a great article concerning due process (http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2203713):

Ham Sandwich Nation: Due Process When Everything is a Crime

  Abstract:
Though extensive due process protections apply to the investigation of crimes, and to criminal trials, perhaps the most important part of the criminal process -- the decision whether to charge a defendant, and with what -- is almost entirely discretionary. Given the plethora of criminal laws and regulations in today's society, this due process gap allows prosecutors to charge almost anyone they take a deep interest in. This Essay discusses the problem in the context of recent prosecutorial controversies involving the cases of Aaron Swartz and David Gregory, and offers some suggested remedies, along with a call for further discussion.

United States Begins Flying Stealth Bombers Over South Korea 567

skade88 writes "The New York Times is reporting that the United States has started flying B-2 stealth bomber runs over South Korea as a show of force to North Korea. The bombers flew 6,500 miles to bomb a South Korean island with mock explosives. Earlier this month the U.S. Military ran mock B-52 bombing runs over the same South Korean island. The U.S. military says it shows that it can execute precision bombing runs at will with little notice needed. The U.S. also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting its allies in the region. The North Koreans have been making threats to turn South Korea into a sea of fire. North Korea has also made threats claiming they will nuke the United States' mainland."

let's charge for it. Since there are sneaky taxes in this bill like the 2.5% medical device tax, I think the US should heavily tax non-US citizens who come over to use our system. We can be kind to our friends in Canada and only charge them 100 or 200 percent because they have such a wonderful healthcare system. Rich Saudi princes or Hugh Chavez can pay say 10,000 percent because they can afford to pay. ANd since the "rich" should pay their fair share someone like George Soros or Bill Gates can also pay that same 10,000 percent tax on medical services.

This is good example of the difference in cultures. Europeans are very comfortable with nudity, but violence and guns are a no-no, or are considered shocking. The US is a bit in between, but lean to being more comfortable with guns and certain kinds of violence. it seems that East Asians like violence, but nudity is right out.

As far as the blue penis was concerned, it really served no useful purpose in the movie, so why not leave it out.
