Discord seems to be locking down more and more, just to browse almost any channel now seems to require you to create a discord account. I get having to do that for posting and private channels - but doing that just to see what is there makes it not worth my time.

This is just as stupid as teaching math by giving everyone a calculator. Many things taught in school is not so that you learn math and algebra specifically but so that you learn to think logically and solve problems. Same with writing essays, it teaches you not about the subject but how to organize and present your thoughts to others in a coherent way.

It's not about specifics but basic thought processes, of which without such fundamental skills you simply won't be equipped to self educate when you encounter something new.

Might as well relabel the next generation as monkeys. They can be trained to push a button just as well.

I completely ignore those unit prices pasted on the shelf, I take the price and divide by size and do the same with the other product. The problem is it seems fewer and fewer people can do simple 'approximation math' to compare things. Do people today even know how to ballpark how much their cart costs, or do they just swipe the magic plastic card without giving a care?

I guess if people cared inflation wouldn't be running wild since they would actually buy less of the price inflated things.

Yes, as a single nobody I see that a family can get $25 per line everything plans while a single line is almost triple that. A family even uses more bandwidth per line with all the inter-family videos and children that consume videos all day.

If anything my single nobody adult line should cost the company less to service. I am the one that should get the discount!

This is what an IPO is supposed to be. A company has an idea but needs money/investors to get it off the ground (pun not intended - sort of).

The current use of IPOs is so that the previous private but rich investors can sell their investment to another sucker before that sucker knows what is going on.

If they go the route of a SPAC, don't just stay away - run the other way.
