A paranoid colleague of mine composed passwords with a sprinkling of extended chars. He entered the whole thing on the numeric keypad with ALT held down.
I've no idea what his password(s) were, but they caused quite a few badly written apps to explode in a spectacular shower of exceptions and unhandled input errors.
My wife and I used to love the Baulder's Gate:Dark Alliance console games, but same screen co-op seems to be a rare thing these days. The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series and Dungeon Siege III are about the only current gen offerings.

I applaud Microsoft's effort, but part of me thinks this might be more about PR than a genuine attempt to save lives.
Apple fans always bang on about how Apple stores go the extra mile to fix problems and replace broken products. Customer care is always pushed as a big plus and one of the justifications for the 'premium' cost of the products.
Are they lying? Or have the courts got it wrong?

Spend hours building a smart ice cube, or thinking, "Hmm the room is spinning, I feel a bit grim and that -2 over there is looking like a 10, I'll ease up a bit". Which is the 'Smart' idea?
The money certainly isn't being used to employ competent personnel. The recent codebreaker PR stunt intended to recruit new 'spooks' was for a job that paid £25k.
Anyone that had the skills required to pass the challenge would be able to get twice that in the private sector.
Most HP A-Series switches are just rebadged H3C hardware. Some still come direct from HP with the H3C badge on.
Given that the A-Series firmware is present across even the HP badged hardware, are they going to throw out all HP A-Series switches?

Microsoft have lost their way. However, we all know they can afford to play silly buggers for a while without worrying too much about major damage.
People clung on to XP because Vista was crap, then dived on Win7 and declared it to be the best thing ever. Those same folks aren't going to give up 7 until the hardware support starts to die off, at which point Windows 9 will appear and the cycle will start again.
Assuming Microsoft are still around to make Win9 and we haven't all had to make the choice between OSX or Linux
