âoeThose do not make any noises that you can hear under usual circumstancesâ
I donâ(TM)t know of any circumstances that those would make a noise. If they did it would be truly disturbing.
An observation such as a link between people who add salt and average less lifespan is interesting, but its only the **BEGINNING** of the Science.
You'll notice there were **NO** hypothesis listed in the guardian article (maybe in the research itself somewhere) as to WHY. Its amazing how we get published stuff like this so early in the scientific method. Of course if they are looking to get money for their research that would explain it....
Richard Garriot has been going to EA about once a year for years and years asking if he could get his old games on mobile at the very least. It gets shot down every time. Ultima has been locked in EA's IP dungeon for decades. You almost think somebody at EA has an ax to grid against the Ultima series.
If Apple did buy EA...well here is hoping Ultima is liberated from the dungeons. Other than milking Ultima Online EA has done practically nothing with it.
"Though nuclear fusion may not materialize as a practical power source for decades"
And that is the rub. I'm 52 and practical nuclear fusion has *ALWAYS* been 20 years way. Until I see something that might change it, talk about getting HE3 is premature.
When you sell your company, you are NO LONGER IN CHARGE. Assurances to do this or that are worthless. I suppose if you can get something legal in writing as a requirement for sale that might help a little, but those things are not forever.
Bottom line, whenever a former CEO of a company tells you that things will be "just fine" and "no real changes" will be made. They are lying.

The only counterpoint to what this guy is saying is that the AG would have to PROVE that if a 3rd party seller offered lower prices outside of amazon that amazon would kick them out of amazon marketplace.
Thatâ(TM)s easier said than done
How about this? Instead of changing the clocks so you don't have to change the hours you have painted on your door, you just have one of those signs where you can change your hours by 1 or 2 in the morning and the evening depending on the time of year?
Messing with the clock is fakery.
Oh, and everybody should move to UTC and get rid of timezones a well. People actually DO eat breakfast at a different time in Sydney than they do in New York. The clocks should reflect that reality, not fake you into thinking 6-9am everywhere on the planet.
It's 2020 people...don't count out 2020 to throw something else at you.
After everything that has happened, I'm ready to believe I'm a holodeck character being simulated on Voyager...
Until you can run MS office apps natively without WINE or emulation you will see very little traction for Linux desktops in the enterprise. Running them in the browser is not going to cut it either.
