Actually it's an add-on item. You have to buy 23 times as much security before you can add on a little bit of freedom as an afterthought.

Genuinely curious, what are the ways you mention to "game" the libertarian system? Or the communist one for that matter?
I think that was another reason, although I think I finally tracked down an extension on chrome that did it properly.
It runs reasonably fast. Sometimes I notice a lag or some problems, I think the Chrome one is better. But it's good enough that it's not an issue for me. I don't know why but I just hate opening a separate pdf or having another program embedded. Bookmarks and typical search keys not really working is one reason.
I switched back to firefox for a few reasons. Can't remember them all at the moment but here's a few:
* Sound on chrome was turning to crap after having it open a while on linux.
* I can install firefox in user space without root.
* Firefox actually seemed more stable and user friendly on my tablet than Chrome.
* Mouse gestures exist on linux unlike on Chrome
* Better access to create/use bookmarks through the sidebar than Chromes ugly approach
* Native PDF viewer now exists
Same goes for black pudding, tripe and haggis. People that were brought up on it don't care. So the trick is to get people when they are young.
"Willie: Get your Haggis right here! Chopped heart and lungs boiled in a wee sheep's stomach! Tastes as good as it sounds!"
It's because of idiots like this that we can't have nice toys. Laser pointers get banned and people who buy them get looked on with suspicion. All because some morons think pointing them at aircraft is a good idea.
How about we punish the idiots, and let the rest of us have our toys?
Careful, you might unwittingly be wading into gun debate territory.
I also have a cast iron pan in my kitchen, am I emulating the second century BC or just using a good tool?
No, you're not, unless you're Chinese. Only the Chinese had cast iron in the second century BCE.
He is Chinese you insensitive clod!
"If it runs Unity then run for the hills. Seriously, how many users did they lose with that ugliness?"
All the users who didn't know how easy it is to have more than one Desktop Environment on Linux
Yes, I know you can run other Desktop Environments and have used multiple ones. But the point is that the poor decision making and general direction of the project made me look for another distro that better matched what I wanted.

Am I the only one who thinks these large, monolithic office suites are a dying breed? I could be wrong, but it seems like Google Docs is the wave of the future. If I didn't work disconnected to the Internet usually that seems like it would be an ideal solution for a company. Come to think of it don't they have a version that you can run on a local network?
Yes, it has fewer features, but it's catching up. For the large majority of even corporate documents it can work. Easier sharing, no more worrying about compatibility, no separate installs, it seems like a winner as the features start to catch up.
Everyone seems to be forgetting a couple of things, and part of the reason I bought the Kindle. The speakers are supposedly better on the Kindle and the Dual Band/Dual Antenna WiFi can also make for a faster internet experience. So I wouldn't say it's a slam dunk that the Nexus 10 is "better specced."
An Amazon Instant Video...flash only currently.
Thank you for looking that up for me. I knew the obligatory XKCD link would likely already be in here.
Is there a name yet for the phenomenon wherein: "For every absurd claim there is likely to be an appropriate XKCD cartoon"?
I think it's the Robertson Conjecture. There you go, now you're famous...on slashdot. You should create a wiki page.
Unless you're keying the bits with a set of telegraph keys attached to your CPU's data bus, it's cheating!
