Yes, they're invading people's privacy, but they do target Foreign calls. Last time I checked, every other nation does this. It's not Big Brother, it's simple information gathering. If I make a call to England, I know with good certainty that my call is being monitored. Are you going to go against spies in other countries? What about over-seas informants? There are risks and I'm fine with the US saying "Hey, we'll be watching your international calls."

Just my opinion, no need to get into a flame war over it.

Just like the Music Industry, it seems that brick and mortar stores wish to stick to the old ways of how things are done. Can't we just have a nice balance of both on and offline retail? Apparently not seeing as how most Americans see in Black and White instead of All Grey like I do. Sales tax won't kill the economy, but it's certainly not going to help it from sieving money.

No, this will re-kindle the fire that both sides of the coin have been at for the last 30 years or so. Watch as more "research" is done to prove/disprove that conservation is having an impact on the earth in general. The oil companies will take credit that their efforts are showing effect so we shouldn't stop using gas while actual climatologists fight tooth and nail to get the years' research grant money.
