I think the point here is that truck driver shortages don't necessarily equal supply chain issues. For example, most countries in Europe have had truck driver shortages for years. The single market helps to mitigate that. The UK is no longer in the single market so, well you know the rest.

Just wait until the UK gets the courage to start doing import controls on EU goods like any sovereign country would then see how bad it can get.

Maybe I should mention that I drive a Tesla Model X. The auto wiper feature is marked as "beta" in my car as I imagine it is in your model 3. It isn't good enough to rely on and I certainly wouldn't rely on it when my windscreen is suddenly drenched in water because in my experience, sometimes the camera does not recognise that I can not see. At speed, it is a dangerous gamble.

In the X and S, you don't need to take your attention away from the road, you just quickly rotate the turn signal stalk. Almost instant as opposed to possibly instant.

Occasionally I have had a truck or car travelling in the opposite direction hit a large puddle and absolutely drench my windscreen in a mass of water. I am glad I can instantly turn the wipers to full speed rather than get a single wipe by pressing the button or press a different button, wait a moment, give a command, wait a second and then perhaps 80% of the time, have the command carried out.

"On the wiper issue. If there really is an issue there (which I doubt) Tesla could fix it with a fairly easy software update. For example the button at the end of the turn signal stalk can modified so that if it is pressed multiple times it will step through wiper states. Once: one wipe. (as it is now) Twice: wipers on slow. Three times: fast. Then if they are running then one press to turn them off. Something like that."

Or they could have done the same as they do on the S and X i.e. you can set the wiper speed by rotating the end of the turn signal. Much like most cars. It does strike me as a dogmatic approach to move this to the touchscreen rather than a sensible approach.
