Instead of laying a minefield of false positives to hide sloppy mistakes, why not just fix the exploitable mistakes in the first place and learn from the experience about what NOT to do?

It's really shitty quality. I've bought 2, one for the old man and grand kiddies, another for me. The overlays are legit, but the buttons are poor quality and can trigger a reset or other unintended action. I'm guessing the traces are too close together or some other kind of bleed over during button presses. It also doesn't hook well to modern tvs, having ancient resolution that tvs just cant play. The games themselves are solid, exactly as I remembered. The old man and I re-ignited a 40 year old Armor Battle Rivalry, and my niece, nephew, and my rug rat got in on it.

Disagree, the controller was fantastic except for the side buttons. Those fuckers hurt. The shape was awkward, but manageable for my hands at the time. A new ergonomic controller would be great. Replacing the old main buttons with something more tactile would be good.

json doesn't have the advantage of schemas to define and validate. JSON only somewhat reliable internally when it has a person to tightly control that object and prevent any yahoo from extending or changing without telling anyone else. It's OK for a front end where you control both the client and the backend (browsercode and server), but xml and xsd is an absolute requirement for exchanging data with other parties where you need consistency and validation that a schema provides.

JSON has a place, just a limited scope place. Yes, I know there are various attempts at JSON schemas, not a single one have I seen that's been either widely adopted or usable as efficiently as an xml schema.

Internet taxation, speech control, being permanently barred from accessing the internet by court rulings, blocking adult material from adults. The government already seizes domains because they have the ability to do so.

Title II is bad for everyone. As mentioned earlier, I, an "EVIL republican conservative", would fully be behind a Free Flow of Packets Bill.
Don't tell private industry how to build their networks, don't make them jump through hoops to expand. I'm not a fan of having neglected "slow lanes", but I also don't mind having priority traffic as an optional service across one's network provided it's optional and not a strong arm tactic. I see those as areas where congressional legislation can have a light hand to keep things balanced out, rather than a mostly unaccountable group dictating commandments like the FCC.

It is so sad watching ppl freak out over revoking of Title II status. Title II is the absolute WRONG way to address net neutrality. It simply doesn't need it. It can be done entirely without it. Title II is nothing more than a power grab by the government, those that don't see this are either on board with this, or intentionally ignorant. It wasn't needed for most of the existence of the internet. It isn't needed now. Probably never will be needed.

As for supplies, I'm not asking teachers to buy supplies. If they CHOOSE to buy student supplies, that's their own problem. I buy my kids their supplies, I'm not buying supplies for other kids. I got over that scam by 2nd grade when the supply list accidentally found my eyes instead of wife's.

You know what would be better? If all the teachers of a given school estimated student paper usage, add 10%, and place a bulk discounted order to gain savings vs a teacher wasting their money at retail, or even us parents. Then, they could provide me with a portion of the bill and i'd be somewhat happier, bc in theory, I should be getting a better deal. Same with pencils. Right now I buy her monogrammed pencils so I know she is using them. If the school wants to arrange bulk discount, I'm all for that.

Find your local comic shop and check it out. Look around, see what you like. If they are good shop, they have a current issue for each comic to check out the inside versus just seeing the cover art.

If you like a few things, see if they have what is called a "Pull List" or "Subscriber List". This is where they set aside the comics on your list every week so you can ensure you get them and pick them all up at once, often at a % discount. A good shop will not charge you for "bag and board". This is the cardboard backer and sleeve your comic gets put in to protect it. Usually made from acit free materials, often by BCW. If they aren't doing this, or are charging you for this, maybe look into a better comic shop.

Every month, there is put out a "Previews" catalog that shows what is available in the next two months. It's like $5. If you find yourself getting into comics heavily, picking one of these up monthly is the way to stay on top of your game.

Lastly, you'll want to pick up a short box or long box to put your bagged and boarded comics into to protect and store them. Most shops should carry these cardboard boxes for a couple bucks.

Some good series I like:
Anything with Superman
Anything with Batman
Flash
Star Wars Darth Vader
Star Wars Thrawn
Green Lantern Corps
Black Betty
Walking Dead
The Boys (finished several years ago, but the graphic novels are available, amazing series)
Locke and Key

Most of the Marvel stuff should be avoided until they are done cleaning out the SJWs that tanked their sales. They just aren't good, unless you are into that. Give it 6 months or so to see if the ship is righted.

IDW has hits or misses, but they are seriously hurting after taking a severe left turn and losing 91% of their sales, just fired their president for shens, and could be losing the Hasbro licenses this year.

Image has hits and misses as well. Both are worth checking out for some good stuff hidden among the dying SJW tripe on it's way out.

As always, check out the indie titles for great stuff.
