Comment Sorry, this might actually be on-topic (Score 1) 26

I remember, maybe 35-to-40-ish years ago, applying (i.e.: filling out a job application for an hourly) techy (wire-wrap & oscilloscope) position, that i agreed, in perpetuity (i.e.: from this instant and forever forward), whether they hired me or not, that every Good Idea (TM) I might, maybe, perhaps, sometime past-or-present, whether in their employ or not, in the galactic scope (whether real or imagined) of whatever The Company (TM) thought it might, one-day, perhaps kinda, sorta, be involved, whether involving electrons, photons or any undiscovered, as yet, fundamental particles, hereby and for all time, assigned any and all Patentable Rights to The Company (TM). I seem to remember circling that paragraph in the instructions several times and writing "FUCK YOU!!!" next to it, before solemnly returning it to the humorless HR twat collecting them.

Comment Fuck you, this is breathtaking innovation... (Score 3, Funny) 231

Until I read TFS, I couldn't have even CONCEIVED of such an innovation. Upon reading the summary, my eyes were opened, and suddenly, electrictly, religiously, My Eyes Were Opened (TM) to the amazing (future) potentialities of desktop computing. Not since the Diesel Powered typewriter have I ever been so flabbergasted by modern innovation. Or maybe the TRS-40.
