Instead of paying a group of scientists to run around out there, why don't they equip a drone with an infrared camera to do a swath of the area and locate and photograph anything with a heat signature about the size of a deer or larger? Sure, you'll get a lot of deer, but you're more likely to sight the yeti this way than not.

Or, alternatively, using Google's real internet ID the manager has a very direct way to succinctly turn my trashing into constructive criticism by nipping the problem in the bud.

Maybe it will work after all.

So, when this combines with my real Google ID I can't anonymously trash restaurants online anymore? So my food can be spat in when the manager recognizes me from my picture as "that guy that wrote the detailed review of how my restaurant sucks."

I don't think it will work out too well.

Comment Spacejunk Hashtag? (Score 1) 214

Dear Slashdot Editors,
Can someone create a hashtag for stories that cover hypothetical space missions? Between yesterday's "China to Harvest Asteroids" academic paper story and this piece of space junk, it seems like stories related to space have the ability to capture the clearing house's imagination even if they have absolutely no substance? If you're not going to do this, could someone please exercise some editorial diligence and block such fluff stories or alternatively point me toward a different, more substantive science news amalgamation service?
