Of course you should understand that a government is an entity that takes the power, so the limited of a limited government as time goes by,is a totalitarian government. Mainly because granting more power to a government can be done by law, and no government ever cedes power. It keeps climbing up the ladder slowly, only to come cascading down under revolution. Then the series repeats.

Is there a solution to this? I can actually only think of other major open source os developing operating systems for smartphones(ubuntu smart, smart suse, smart fedora....) ,that could alleviate the situation, unless you get companies like motorola with its bootloader nonsense. realistically speaking, what can be done?

Morality often never spans the generation gap, it falls with its martyrs into the chasm, and only a faint echo from an "old fashioned" doom-sayer can be heard, and promptly dismissed. not fifty years ago,it was unheard of to have sex and children out of wedlock. now its a trend. ..... Even our current generation have lost the value of privacy somewhat, what with the sex tapes, facebooks, twitters of this world. If I were them, i'd put in backdoors AND send men in black suits wearing fedoras and latex gloves to ur house. They certainly do have the resources(read tax payers' money) to do so.. It would be naive ,at worst, to think that they wouldn't go this far. Basically, one must assume that every avenue they could exploit to keep a step ahead, they will pursue. Vehemently.
