They are touting the market share of their junk in an attempt to dampen the outflow of investors who have been flocking to TSMC this year at their expense.

Their use case for AI doesn't make any sense either. We don't need a black box solution trying to optimize plant growth when we already understand exactly how the plants work. They would only look to AI for it's buzz. The whole thing is probably just a scam to get investment funding.

Nonsense. Apple has parity on efficiency because they're buying production space from TSMC just like AMD is. Apple is going to run a simplified instruction set on a limited chip that performs very well at a few key areas so they can wave benchmarks around and brag about beating intel, but they will never out perform AMD chips being made on the same process.

TSMC wins either way.

Apple isn't shifting any paradigms with it's m1 processor. This is just TSMC doing what they do. It's the same way with the new AMD processors that TSMC also makes and which beat the older intel stuff by an even larger margin.

I didn't buy an oculus device but I'm still tethered to this story because of all the oculus exclusive games I play through re-vive. Now all of those games have a 2 year lifespan for me because I don't have and never will have a facebook account. There's a huge list of oculus exclusive games out there. A lot of the higher quality VR games are on that list too.
