I live in Los Angeles, so I'm with you - I hate the fact that I have to wear a mask indoors again.

On the other hand, there are lots of people who simply can't get vaccinated, so I guess I can manage a mask to protect them. Agreed though, it's tough to stomach that in the vast majority of cases the unvaccinated are by choice.

That would make for one interesting court case... a health insurance company compelling you to take a preventative treatment in order to get additional care.

I mean, I think everyone should get vaccinated, but denying people care (that they paid for) because they didn't get a vaccine is rather rough.

Or maybe people realized that it doesn't make sense to own something you only use one in a while? I've never understood why anyone would want to own a bookshelf of DVDs. Do they really need to own their own copy of those movies?

Same goes for cars. I'd rather pay 8.50 an hour for something I'll likely only be using once in a while, rather than 10k up-front. At 8.50/hr, I'll get 1176 hours of driving for $10k. I drive less than an hour per day, and realistically only a fraction of that is going to be in self-driving mode. I'd much rather go for the 8.50/hr payments over the next decade than the $10k up front. Much less risky.

Because there are ways to wash bitcoin, for example, through pools. That wouldn't help you though if you ever want to convert your bitcoin to something tangible inside the US, like a physical asset or dollars. The IRS will still be able to see that you have a large amount of bitcoin and will want to know how you acquired it... "from a dark pool" is not a good answer.

If you're buying something in Russia, that's less of a concern... as long as you pay your Russian taxes, you're probably fine.

Of course they're on the same "spectrum", what a meaningless point to make in bold. A lightbulb is on the same "spectrum" as the sun, that doesn't mean you should be scared your lightbulb will suddenly start fusing hydrogen and consume your house.
