Imagine a small startup getting a lifeline patent to secure Series B funding only to be hit by an IPR by Apple so they can steal your ideas in the meantime and then you lose all your funding and no longer have the capital to even assert your valid patent. This par for the course when it comes to PGR. You also have major corporations filing petitions under various aliases to bog down the PTAB to keep a patentee in limbo until said corporation can put together a thinly veiled case to drag a competitor through litigation induced bankruptcy. While IPR has weakened the patent troll (yes it has), it has only emboldened the mega-corporations (Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc...) to unforseenly weaponize the process to quietly crush their competition without much public attention. This is a small corrective action with language that will evolve.

This is probably untrue, investors like Delaware corporations because they know the rules and how they will be enforced. Plus, states are free to charge a tax on out-of-state corporation doing business in that state (IIRC Mycroft HQ is in Hawaii).

It’s called the Delaware Loophole for a reason.

Even with an ideal user (light skinned, hairless, and not obese), optical based glucose measurement still has double digit error rates. They are also highly sensitive to pulse rate and blood pressure because changes in O2 levels can effect the measurement. No amount of filtering or neural network based pattern matching will improve detection to the point that it is not only accurate, but also reliable for all patients. We’ll probably develop gene therapy to control diabetes before we have fully non-invasive glucose monitoring.

I think you’ll probably find that lab grown meats will fall in to the uncanny valley of meats. It will look too much and feel close to in vivo meat, but will taste awkward. Rebrand these vegan alternatives to something completely exclusive from meats and they will be far more successful. However, to make a foothold in the markets, you have to cater to the simple minded.

NDA are no where as restrictive as non-competes. This is huge and one of the biggest reasons the tech industry has flourished in California. This will allow tech companies to settle elsewhere because the talent can now settle outside of the bay area. This is bad for California as they are one of the few states that ban non-competes.
