More frequent shopping is way more efficient food waste wise. I just set up my first cooking schedule and went from once a month or 2 to once a week shopping. Also helps you do a better job keeping essentials stocked. I'm not pitching out all the rotten fruits and veggies like before. I'm also running my own planter boxes which helps for about 1/3 of the year for the veggies and herbs I use up most.

Comment Facebook vs. Google??? Really??? (Score 1) 148

That's like rubbing dead tuna guts all over myself and deciding to jump in a tank full of alligators or sharks.

Both of them are in the same business, the only difference is Google couldn't get its act together enough to create the same social media network Facebook has to propagate conspiracy theories.

A better analogy is Cobra Commander vs Megatron; an incompetent super villain vs an efficient one.

Maybe I'm just not imaginative enough, but it's so damned unstable. How can you build any kind of legitimate market around a currency with no backing and so much fluctuation. Imagine buying a car 2 years ago that cost 100K that costs 1,000,000 today. Or a currency where any of the repo admins [sic] can up and run off with millions. Just seems like pure gambling to an outsider; not that the Dow is much better.

Exactly, I'm not a scientist but I know there's been a process for vaccines that has been in place for a long time. Suddenly, we found a safe way to fast track vaccine development? To paraphrase a Boy Scouts motto, if the shortcut worked it wouldn't be the shortcut it would be the way.

I'm also extremely disturbed that a mere weeks after vaccine tests have been paused because of unexplained illnesses, they've suddenly been corrected and cleared?

Not to mention the current issues with the other "fast tracked" Russian and Chinese vaccines.

TPP was designed to control the Chinese, yes you have people like Bernie Sanders who hated it for some of the compromises it made but there's a reason it was approved by the same "hypocritical lefties" you're crying about. And how you got the notion that "everyone hated TPP" is beyond me. Some people act like they didn't start following politics until Trump ran for President.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Western countries have turned a blind eye to China robbing them blind of IP. Probably trillions in wealth is propping up this Chinese tech surge and they're not even shy about it. They churn out shameless copies of software and products like you'd expect to see in a backwater flea market.
