Given that you have to pay more for a data plan that supports 5G, and that you have to stand at specific street corners in order to actually utilize it, I thus conclude that only drug-dealers and high-end prostitutes will be using 5G in the near future.

You expect me to believe that North Korea is turning ones and zeroes into weapons? I find it far more likely that:
1) NK turned cryptocoins into cash
2) Manufacturers/engineers/nuclear physicists were intimidated/threatened into working on weapons programs
3) The cash was pocketed because they don't need to pay the above people

It's easy to forget that in a place that's not a free market, where people are prohibited from traveling and can be strong-armed into effectively working for free, money isn't needed in order to produce results. Either the govt. says 'build this weapon or we execute your family' or just uses a bunch of loyal people.

Alternatively, assuming some materials are imported: the stolen money goes into a slush fund used for a wide variety of things, one of which is weapons development.

Humans descend from bonobos -- who live in and move amongst trees. It'd make sense that if they're not near trees, they'd feel anxiety. Furthermore, who knows what kind of threats, like snakes, lurk amongst the tall grass; better keep clear of that.
Humans presumably retained some of those instincts, despite not relying nearly as much on trees; perhaps being in the open too far from trees left us vulnerable to threats that can't climb, leaving the anxiety intact.

When the bad news comes out next week, everything will be blamed on those just fired. IMO what they need most is to improve their image, which is going to take some serious effort.
