Comment Bravo! (Score 1) 32

Taking notice of employees concerns is commendable. However, the concerns of the users is of greater value. Inserting another obstacle in the data stream does little for security.

The system with the greatest security is air-gapped from the outside world. Inconvenient? Absolutely, but it works. Inquire any security minded business or government and they will agree. Any issues can be monitored by the user and submitted to the proper authorities, without exposing everything to unauthorized personnel.

Remember, the most appropiate response to most inquiries is "None of your damn business".

I paid for windows 7 years ago. Why is it such an issue to want to continue using it? My OS library started with ms-dos, windows 1.0, 1.01, 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, windows 95, windows xp, windows vista, and windows 7; I tried 8 but it sucked. Not once was I offered a free upgrade. I'm tired of being forced to upgrade at a cost.

According to TFA, the latest version of 7 didn't work very well, hmmm. And your "fix"? I sincerely doubt that it's a fix. It's probably more like that asshat's vaccines. USELESS!

Luckily, I also have Redhat linux and IBM's OS2, If I have to upgrade again, it'll be one of these.

Totally safe

It is as long as major payments are made by money order or cashiers check. Carry only enough cash to get by for a day or two. If you really need ready access to cash at a moments notice, I recommend an ATM card connected to a different account at a different bank. Always limit access to your depositing bank account. Never, ever bank on line.

Comment Diversity deception (Score 1) 69

With 7+ billion people on this planet and all you can come up with is a computer generated face, to look like you're diverse? In recognition of the shallowness of your sincerity, don't bother me with your ads, commercials, flyers, robo-calls because whatever you're selling, I aint buying. How's that for sincerity for your diversity?

Comment There was a time... (Score 1) 133

Unions had a place in the workforce decades ago. Now, unions appear rightly or not, to work "hand in glove" with companies. The lines are so blurred that it's difficult to differentiate between taskmaster companies and taskmaster unions. All for greed and power. There are companies that would rather lay veryone off and permanently shut their doors than unionize. There are companies that still operate today because of the union. Each situation differs. But it all boils down to greed and power.
