Methinks you are talking out of your ass. Aside from Twitter (which still uses RoR AFAIK for some things), please provide other examples to backup your flame bait.
Patents

8-Year-Old Receives Patent 142

Knile writes "While not the youngest patent recipient ever (that would be a four year old in Texas), Bryce Gunderman has received a patent at age 8 for a space-saver that combines an outlet cover plate with a shelf. From the article: '"I thought how I was going to make a lot of money," Bryce said about what raced through his brain when he received the patent.'"

Comment Let's disable/ban all communication (Score 1) 1065

If LaHood thinks a passenger talking on a cellphone is distracting to a driver, then isn't a driver talking to a passenger just as, or even more, distracting? I say let's ban all driver communication, both intra and extra vehicular. This will of course require a redesign of all cars, perhaps a driver "cockpit" like a commercial airplane.

I'm a lefty also and I've never had an issue adapting to various game controllers. When you start from a point where neither hand has been trained yet, you just naturally build up muscle memory/skill in each hand for the given task. I always use my right hand for my mouse. When I've sat at somebody's desk who has it on the left side, I'll move the mouse to the right side, otherwise it will take me twice as long to do tasks involving the mouse. When I play baseball, I have no problem catching with my right hand - I don't have to think about it. If I borrow a glove from a right handed thrower, I have a difficult time catching and feel very uncoordinated - I've just never practiced that way.

Comment Re: Same Old Story (Score 3, Interesting) 1018

This is the same old story, and it is a very old story indeed. I've been reading a lot of Civil War history lately, especially about the political and economic factors leading up to the war. As the north was industrializing, many craftsmen and factory workers were making the exact same complaints about the factory owners and bankers who were making all the money but had no "skills" to actually create the textiles, weapons, furniture, etc. Things haven't changed that much in the last 160 years.
