Comment I have both a Math and CS Degree (Score 1) 656

Discrete and Numerical Analysis are the only classes that I recommend. I am the Lead Architect of a Mega Scale project, and can honestly say I never use those advance method concepts. I do although recommend learning the thought process that comes along with those math classes. There are projects that use a lot of computations, but many don't. Try to learn the ideas behind it all, and then forget the formulas, you can always look them up.

Comment Key Logger (Score 1) 510

There has been many projects that use statistics to create a remote key logger based off of sound or vibrations picked up by the acceleration of the phone. The sound and vibration in the table you make by typing actually can be used to figure out to a high accuracy what you typed. Meaning a virus in your phone could figure out where you work and your passwords. But also, they could use lasers to measure the vibration of the window to pick up the sound waves. Your screwed either way.

Comment Legally (Score 2) 340

Legally the only restriction is audio recording someone without their consent where they do not have an expectation to privacy. That means if they are trespassing or dumping illegally they should not have an expectation of privacy. Excluding audio removes any legal issues, but you may be in your own right to audio record them if it is your property.

^Handle .............. ^Threaded connection
FP = Firing Pin

So it is really basic when you only want to fire one bullet. You have a spring loaded handle, when you release it, it goes forward and hits the bullet. Your barrel just threads onto the spring loaded firing pin handle. This way you can load the bullet in.

Assuming that the barrel will not last, you can just make multiple barrels and just use one handle.

So I had a similar experience. It was the first time I had to op-out. After the pat down, I tested positive for explosive residue. So I had to go to their second level pat down. At this point I was pretty frustrated, and started to belittle the TSA. When they open handed my junk, I said "Did you go to school to learn to give hand jobs like that?"

Needless to say they were not very happy, but I passed their second level screening. Since they couldn't do anything more, they called AA's manager, who just came in and said "Your not flying with us today." and left.

I went out bought another ticket with Continental, and talked to their manager about what happened. He expressed how he hated the TSA. Before my ticket was even confirmed with my agent. He gave me a pass to get through security without a ticket. I go through TSA wink and the officer who I made the comment to, and flew that same day.

When I got to my destination, I went to AA's counter and asked for a refund, on my non-refundable ticket. She said the notes said "You failed TSA's screening." I said well I made it here didn't I? She called head quarters, and they gave me a full refund.

Exactly what I was thinking. These scares allow citizens to accept violations in their privacy.

Door locks have nothing to do with what he was talking about. He was talking about the liberties outlined in the constitution. More specifically he was talking about people who were giving up on the concept of the Freedom in the United States, for British protection.

Being searched and seized is the 4th Amendment, and that is what the TSA is violating. A belief he was directly fighting for during the British’s invasion. Since at that time the British were searching homes in the area, and arresting people for no reason.

Why don't you actually research and understand the parallels in this paraphrase to the current events.

You do know that since the TSA's placement flights have gone down 10%, and car accidents went up 10% as people choose to drive more than flying. The amount of people who have died in this time period in that percent is much greater than the amount that died on 9/11. So who cares if planes get hijacked once in a while? It isn’t worth the cost of the TSA and our liberties. When someone acts up on a plane now, the passengers immediately step in.

So my story actually happened. Freshly washed, I got a pat down when I declined the imagers. I then tested positive for explosives. They took me into a back room for a move advance pat down. Once I passed the more advance one, they contacted the airline to deny me.

I talked to TSA and airport employees, they all agreed that their CURRENT machines can give positives for laundry detergent and makeup. My assumption is that if there current deployed machine is calibrated to detecting molecules up close gives false positives now, their machine that detects molecules at a range would have a similar calibration.

Regardless, my point was trace amounts of molecules does not define a motive, and is not probable cause to be searched and seized.
