And when you get there you often need to click on the skinny text link that says "Show Advanced Options" that brings you to the old Control Panel version. System settings even does this in Windows 10 now. So much white space to scroll through. It's so stupid.

Build even more efficient mega-factories in the West to lessen reliance on Chinese manufacturing. This will take years. And yet, no Western corporation wants to be the first. Government leadership may be needed to overcome the extreme profit-now-over-all-else thinking. This way, when China decides they've had enough and can raise prices or create ever increasing shortages, we can make stuff locally again. I don't expect this to happen until China has gone too far in alienating everyone else. Western corporate leadership is sociopathic and only looking out for how much they can make for themselves. They have no loyaty to their country or their customers, only to bigger and bigger profits.

Whatever post trend brings in the most ad money gets Facebook's support. They even recognized that some posts were foreign government sockpuppet missives and did nothing, since their objective is to gather personal data and "give" it to advertisers (partners) that spend enough money to obtain the data. They're slimy and lie continuously about their part in dividing the worlds peoples.

That trick never works. Unless they switch to 100% cloud based operation there will always be some Windows machines being used for software comparability reasons.

This sure looks like what Windows 10X would have been. It still won't install updates as fast at Chromebooks, minutes vs. seconds. Break a Chromebook in our local school district, get a new one, log in and you're back where you were within 20 seconds. I seriously doubt any version of Windows can equal the speed of a Chromebook in real use. Time will tell, however.
