How exactly is your comment going to help?
It helped by making me laugh. Now I have the "Hot Pockets" jingle from No Agenda running through my head....
1 data center gets built and they are calling themselves the data center capital of the country? Well, Salt Lake just opened EBAY last summer and has Oracle, Twitter, and a 1.3 Billion dollar data center for the NSA under construction and we don't feel qualified to make that statement. You don't see NC claiming that because of the apple one... with the tax rate of New York I hardly see that many businesses moving there!

People who only experience Flash on Windows just don't have any idea how horribly buggy it is on other platforms.
I second this experience from the perspectives of Linux, Solaris, and OSX. Also the Adobe Acrobat Reader is horrible on those platforms. Especially working behind a corporate firewall. Dang thing wants to call home to Adobe all the time. Gave up on it and just use xpdf or Foxit. Adobe kind of had a monopoly going for flash and pdf. They started adding more junk to the applications and didn't focus on reliability. Looks like the horse has left the barn for good.
I'm having a hard time getting a tear to form in my eye over Adobe's flash problems. However, (and I say this as an OSX fan) if you thought Microsoft abused their monopoly... just give Apple a chance. They'll outdo Microsoft there too.
I don't own a Toyota but if I did I wouldn't be afraid to drive it.
Oh... You will be. You... will... be.
Here I'm dealing with readers who are largely (a) very intelligent, (b) educated, (c) interested in hard news and substance rather than "human interest", and (d) intensely interested in copyright law as it bears upon digitalization, software, and the internet.
Amen. That's why the bulk of Slashdot users appreciate your posts. It is real news. Not the Digg tabloid news of "Video of skateboard dog with two heads". Real journalism presents issues that readers may not wish be informed about, but need to be. If we only read about issues reported with a slant that we agree with or support, how do we ever become balanced and understanding of all sides of an issue. News is NOT entertainment. Thanks for the work you do to inform us about pertinent issues.
