Advertising is societal corrosion. It eats away at our experiences, it reshapes our thoughts, it homogenizes and neuters our culture, and it's all because people such as yourself see "not making any money" as an inherent problem with all sorts of aspects of our lives.

No mod points to bestow, but I'd like to buy you a beer.

I toured Europe with a Lumix LX3 in 2010, taking 1700+ photos in two weeks. I traded up to the LX5 not long after that, and now I'm loving my LX7. Panasonic deserves kudos for identifying and catering to the market for a feature-rich compact digital camera. Do you have the add-on WA lens? Pricey but worth it.

I bought my GF a Canon A720IS before I knew better. It sits on a shelf now -- she's using the LX3.

They could not tell the fully story. Literally. They left out Tom Bombadil and Goldberry. I can understand that back story behind that, but as a child, I understood him to be literally beyond the powers of the rings themselves. That grabbed my mind and imagination.

I could forgive Peter Jackson for that, but I will never forgive him for excising "The Scouring of the Shire" from ROK. Tolkien himself stated that it wasn't an afterthought or epilogue, but an essential part of the story.
