So they hold Twitter responsible, but not Skype (Microsoft), Yahoo, AOL, or any of the other companies that offer IM-type or bulletin board type services where information can be passed? Hell - with a little planning, a Wikipedia article edit could be used as a communication channel, not to mention the talk portion where editing an article is discussed. Or even Slashdot - read at -1 and find your messages for the Kettle Run on the next anniversary.
Some of us actually know how to do more than yum -y install. You know -- that old fashioned "compile from source"? Or even find an rpm.
This year? Around $3800 overall so far. Years past anywhere between $800 and $7000. I kind of like the Universal Basic Income idea - the coming automation/no jobs nightmare needs a solution and I'd rather see things tried now and bugs worked out versus trying to do it while in the middle of the nightmare.
And said C level executive will say (if you are lucky) "Here's X amount of dollars. Make it work, I want to be able to use device in meeting next Wednesday." I can guarantee you that X is going to be less than the amount needed to do it properly and a performance goal will be added to said IT guy's yearly review showing how well they made it work (or not work).
The All Writs Act is basically a blank check for the Courts to order someone (individual or company) to do something. It has not been challenged to the Supreme Court yet, so it is still in force. If it is challenged to the Supreme Court, the challenging party will cite it violates the 14th Amendment (Due Process) and possibly the 13th Amendment (Involuntary Servitude).
I read your reply in Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice. Now I can't get the image out of my head.
"As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember: victory is life."
I'm on a plane with hijackers, that's my battle speech. Gone are the days of "Wait til they fly us to somewhere and then the plane is raided by the local army".
NSA is way ahead of you here, Sparky. See this article for details - note the article is 3 years old as of this posting...
Accurate - make sure they give you ASDM as well as the ASA upgrade else you can't use the gui to manage it after you're done with the upgrade.
Also, you guys should update the FAQ (https://slashdot.org/faq/slashmeta.shtml) -- needs to show the change of ownership.
Okay Whiplash,
I remember reading the first "We now own Slashdot" article (and trust me, had I been able to get that dang winning Powerball ticket, I would have been in the bidding war

Disagree with this. The reason the default score for Anonymous Cowards is 0 while a named individual is 1 goes to the whole "stand behind your comment" thing. Anonymous Cowards who post things that the group find funny, interesting or otherwise insightful get modded up fairly quickly. The ones who post trolls (unless they are good) get modded to -1 and disappear from the view of most individuals.
Now all the ad tracking scripts -- that one, can agree with somewhat - just have to find a balance, yes?
Work without a vision is slavery, Vision without work is a pipe dream, But vision with work is the hope of the world.
