Submission + - Web Operating System (wordpress.com)

Cam42 writes: "Online Operating Systems can be perfect for running apps, accessing files, from any computer with a web browser. Here's a few I've been looking at lately.
  1. EyeOS http://www.eyeos.org Open source linux distro. you can put it on your own server, or you can access it from their free public servers. Also, this has its own web browser, something the others don't.
  2. Desktoptwo http://www.desktoptwo.com Made by sun, the same people that brought you OpenOffice.org, and Java, now bring you a Web Operating System. Pretty cool looking, more customizable than EyeOS (if you're using eyeos.info), although lacks a web browser.
  3. G.ho.st http://g.ho.st/ I personally don't have a good enough computer to run anything but g.ho.st lite, so If anyone wants to give me their thoughts, the comments section is there for a reason:)
  4. GlideOS https://desktop.glidesociety.com/ This one's built more for business groups (as far as I can tell), but is still pretty cool

All have their own Email Clients, and some sort of calendar, and storage, so you can take files anywhere without a USB stick"
