Submission + - Ask X - New UI for Ask.com
ReadWriteWeb writes: "Ask.com is testing out a new Ajax powered 3-pane UI called Ask X, which is similar to the Ask City site launched a couple of weeks ago. As well as a new UI, Ask X introduces video search to the feature set. Ask.com attempts to differentiate itself from the likes of Google through its focus on topic clusters and "smart answers". They generally try to deliver a range of useful, topical information in its first page of results, so doing it over 3 panes and with some Ajax magic seems an appropriate solution."
