Although i havent played the first FEAR, i think im going to go and buy it. It looks fun. Ive always liked the FPSs. I remeber shaking (from adrenaline) when i beat the boss of the first episode of Wolf3D (i was like 7?) and then on to getting up at like 5am to play Quake before school. Know after owning all the Quakes,Doom trilogy, Wolfenstein, ET, all the half-lifes, i think im ready for another game. Its coming out for PC right? know i just hope it will run on Wine(cedega).

i live in a town of 1000 people Walker and work in a place that has 30 or so employees. Now while working on projects, we also have what the client wants, but there is always instances where there are different ways to do it. We have the chance to suggest ideas doing meetings about the projects, and our company is always taking suggestions about work env. etc ..
But the easiest thing to do, is just talk to your supervisor, "Hey, i have an idea about this ...". also, if you want to back it up, its always better to have some good research about what you want. Ive always found that if you want to push something, you have to push it your self, the boss isn't going to help if hes not ready to implement. So information on the subject, maybe a presentation ready, some good resources, and then prepare a speech for what you want.
like any good sales person, you should be able to sell a ketchup Popsicle to a lady in white gloves.
And just remember that they might shoot you down, but I'm sure your opinion will be more valuable the more they find that you always have something worthwhile to investigate.

Ever ride the ride, "gravitron"? It looked like a flying saucer, and when you get in it, there is padding planks that each person leans against (they look like creepers for working under cars. anyway, they sex offender (arent most carnies?) get the ride going fast enough that the planks lift off the ground and slide up against the ceiling. It lasts about 2 minutes, its fun ... but not as fun as the monkey barrels .. Where you can spin yourself ;) Oh yea, space ships .. um variable gravity .. I wonder what it would be like to do a beer bong in space? Lots of girls with big boobies .... and ill need some proton torpedos, some fricken lasers, and a weapon similar to what the Deathstar has.

not really: Everytime ive ever opened a word (Office 2008) doc in OOO, Its messed all the formatting up. You cannot create full access DBs and forms in OOO. im sure theres a tond more formats from the MS office suit that OOO doesnt handle. The big thing is people need to be able to handle a file format that everyone uses, which, unfortunately, is the MS format. Now dont get me wrong, i hate windows with a passion, but sadly enough i make my pay through MS products, and i an forced to do so, because open source cant do what MS apps can. There is no equivalent to :
MS office suit (OOO doesnt cut it)
MS SQL management studio
Visual Studio (.NET development)
IE for testing apps
And im sure there's people just like me that run proprietary software, that is only on windows (I run ESRI ArcGIS software)
As much as i love linux, the tools aren't there for developing the way I need.
THEREFORE: I wouldn't mind one of these laptops (although its not like my Dell inspiron doesnt allready have XP and slackware) because i am a slacker, and i still need Windows to make a buck. I think one of the bigger issues is, why would you want a pre installed Linux distro? Most likely what they give you wont be the distro you want (ubuntu or fedora) If they were to pre install with slack of BSD ... that would be a different sotry!
