Looking at the source code, it only uses jQuery for an on page load handler. The library itself doesn't have any references to jQuery or to the '$' context that jQuery uses. He probably could have used a body onload tag to achieve the same thing, but then when pushing new web standards and using methodologies from the early 90's, this was probably the safer path.

In Belgium it still is. It is granted by Royal Order and the most recent cities are: Genk, Mortsel, Seraing and Waregem which received their rights in 1999.

In The Netherlands, there is no such things as a city in legal terms, there are only municipalities (gemeenten). The practice of granting city rights disappeared in the 19th century. Some 'cities' only gained importance after this and never received city rights, like for example Hague (but it is allowed to call itself a city, nonetheless...).

Sorry - who says the spouse IS being cheated on ?
Lice don't ONLY spread sexually and if the only way to infect your target was to infect yourself first and then seduce them... well it wouldn't sell at ALL.

The idea here is more likely that the buyer will spread them all over your bathroom towels or something- something that will touch your skin quite a bit, while naked.

Last time I checked, toweling off after a shower is not considered cheating on your spouse...

So you can get a person innocently divorced, in those states/countries which aren't no-fault they could lose all their property for cheating.. all innocently... and why ?because you're a fucking jerk who found a website ?

This is the kind of business that MUST be regulated.

My comment has "I thought"? I don't see it anywhere in there. The insightful was most likely directed at the questions I posed, which weren't even answered by the prosecution. So perhaps you should respond to that?

If you are captured by Al'Qaeda and asked to give up the location of your family, will you tell the truth? This is a extreme example, but there are times when you should lie. They asked him to give up the passwords in a manner which would have exposed them to people who most definitely were not authorized to have them. If he had released the passwords in this manner, he could have been brought up on charges according to the policy.

I am not denying that now the facts are out, the guy was a jerk, but the fact that he lied when confronted in an incorrect manner I won't fault him for. I would have probably done what a previous poster suggested and handed the passwords in a sealed envelope to the manager.

Craptivision's sequel-itis is making EA look like a sane company these days

With the exception of a few hiccups, EA has actually been pretty awesome the past couple of years. They did a complete turnaround. They aren't quite what they were in their glory days, but they are well on their way back.

There was a time when I would have refused to purchase a game with "EA" stamped on it. Now, I'm starting to get excited to see their name again.

EA rightfully caught tons of crap for a while, but they have really improved themselves as of late.
