Exactly, I'd consider buying a Wii U if it had anything worth playing... Currently the only games they have are disappointing first party games, and third party ports from Xbox 360 and PS3 that the Wii didn't have the horsepower to run, and now Nintendo is finally getting these games years later. The upcoming new Zelda game that was vaguely announced is the only thing on the horizon that I could see saving the Wii U. They seem to be putting all their chips into the 3DS right now and are very tight lipped about what games they are making for Wii U, if any.

I got the impression that they were implying you could build it with your choice of printed parts OR alternatively purchased parts. I would imagine the printed parts would be plastic and less durable (but probably lighter) than metal parts bought at a hardware store.

Who is forcing non heterosexuals into one area? Nobody. This article is EXTREMELY biased and is completely misrepresenting the truth. Nobody is being forced anywhere, they are simply developing same-sex dialog stories into the new planet that they are releasing. They didnt have same sex storylines on previous planets, but from this point on they are adding it to all new planets, starting with this first one. Why is this so hard for people to understand?

But they don't "automatically" open up on your other PCs. They simply show up in a list of tabs opened on your other devices that are synced to your same google account. Then you can manually open the "remote tab" on the device you are currently on. They will not simply start popping up on your work PC while you are opening tabs at home. And if you are really that worried about even having the smallest amount of access between the tabs of your different devices, then I guess this feature isn't for you.

You know you can click the link to the actual image right? The flash part is just showing a slider comparison between high and low res older pictures.

Anyone else totally confused by this article, first they say, iOS 5 was released yesterday, then a few paragraphs down they say iOS 5 is only available in beta to developers right now. Nice job getting the facts straight. Made me go try to update my phone only to discover its not actually released.

The work by Rice University biomedical engineers and researchers from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center could improve access to diagnostic imaging tools in many parts of the world where these expensive resources are scarce. In the tests, a common fluorescent dye was used to make cell nuclei glow brightly and images were taken using the tip of the fiber-optic bundle attached to the camera. The distorted nuclei, which indicate cancerous and pre-cancerous cells, could then be distinguished on the camera's LCD monitor."

This gives Baidu Inc., which already has a greater than 60% share in Internet search in China, a chance to expand. It has announced new plans to hire US engineers to enhance its technical skills and propel its growth globally." Update: 06/29 18:27 GMT by S : Changed the headline to more accurately reflect what Google is doing. They're ending the redirect and applying for a license renewal, so it's still in question whether they'll actually go dark in China. However, they say they're also looking for ways to continue allowing uncensored search, such as putting a high-profile link to their Hong Kong site on the google.cn landing page.

jqpublic13 writes "The City of Detroit, Michigan, is suing Comcast's local subsidiary citing a 2006 agreement which the City says violates the constitutions of both the United States and the state of Michigan. They claim that a federal act from 1984 supersedes the local agreement. Comcast has 20 days to respond."

An anonymous reader sends in a mathematical puzzle introduced at the recent Gathering 4 Gardner, a convention of mathematicians, magicians, and puzzle enthusiasts held biannually in Atlanta. The Tuesday Birthday Problem is simply stated, but tends to mislead both intuitive and mathematically informed guesses. "I have two children, one of whom is a boy born on a Tuesday. What's the probability that my other child is a boy?" The submitter adds, "Believe it or not, the Tuesday thing is relevant. Well, sort of. It's ambiguous."

sciencehabit sends this snip from Science Magazine, with included video: "Researchers have created flat sheets of composite material that can fold themselves into toy boats, tents, and even paper airplanes. Based on the ancient art of origami, the sheets are edged by foil actuators — thin, solid-state motors — that contract or expand when they receive an electric current from flexible electronic circuits embedded in the sheets. After they achieve their preprogrammed shape, the sheets are held in place by tiny magnets on the edges of the fold joints. Researchers say the technology could be scaled up to create ultra-portable tripods or even cups that automatically adjust to the size of liquid being poured into them."
