>"outlaw any questioning of scientific theories" ??

Where are the scientists who welcome the teaching of alternatives to the theory of evolution? No, they lobby hard to pass laws making it illegal to teach any ideas that question the theory. Every year, a fragment of a jaw bone found in the "wrong" place causes scientists to go into a frenzy to rewrite the tree of evolution, but that's besides the point.

I'm sure people would be tripping over themselves to examine an alternate theory, I have yet to hear of one.
If they want to be treated as science, then they have to do the work, no magic sky fairies or other untestable rubbish.

> Are You asking for a 5-billion-year-long experiment ??

Yes. Otherwise the assumptions are non-falsifiable, and we might as well believe the writing on stone tablets found on a mountain somewhere.

That's just so completely wrong, plenty of stuff in the ToE is falsifiable; most of the deniers just whine that "none of those thing happen" and think the theory is at fault for being consistent with reality.

>Evolution isn't statistics. Geology isn't statistics. Cosmology isn't statistics.

They absolutely are. Journals for all three topics mention p-values all the time.

Stats can be used to assist in analyzing data, but they are just a tool, they are not the science.

Barring chronic conditions, it is clearly true. (a patient who takes a drug every day know they need it)
Yes, if I have a cold I need decongestant, as long as there are no other issues to complicate the matter.
Yes, it's a blanket statement, that is true in almost all non-trivial cases.

"Want" has nothing to do with medical treatment.
A doctor can frequently determine what you need.
Unless you are a doctor you are unlikely to know what you need.
Want is a word that gets used when people listen to advertisers.
One of the many reasons I think ads for prescription meds don't belong anyplace except medical professional publications.

As a counter argument, I'd ask; do you think it logical for any reasonable individual to become religious purely out of protest to atheists?

No. Do you think it logical for any reasonable individual to become atheist purely out of protest to the religious? I know quite a few people who say that they have (especially out of protest against Roman Catholicism), but whether they're "reasonable people" is up for debate.

Most of the people I know who want to "protest" or annoy or whatever their [parents] religion go the route of "anti-religion" aka satanism.
They still cling to the trappings of religion, that is their comfort zone, but they don't want to follow the norms.

Most of the atheists or agnostics I know move in that direction from religion due to dissatisfaction with the religion, not due to some rebellious feelings.

If you want to decrease your risk of diabetes, eat less sugar and exercise more.

If you want to lower your blood pressure, eat less sugar, maintain proper electrolyte balance (doesn't necessarily mean less salt!), and exercise more. Also consider breathing/meditating exercises as well.

If you want to lower your risk of cancer, particularly colon cancer, eat more blueberries, green leafy vegetables, garlic, and exercise more.

If you want to decrease your LDL cholesterol levels, eat more oatmeal and olive oil (not together, that would be gross!), and exercise more.

Take that, North Carolina! I just posted nutritional advice without a license!

Hey, what's wrong with oatmeal and olive oil?
I eat my oatmeal savory, not sweet.
Steel cut oats, garlic, ginger, and pepper to heat it up.
Yummy bacon, Red Leicester cheese, and olive oil..
Plus olive oil seems to help it not boil over in the microwave.

Business students are likely the worst possible people to allow to run a business. The all seem to focus on short term gains and things to boost their resume so they can move on to another company and do the same thing there. No matter the short term gain turns to a short and/or long term loss after they've gone. Or you have the long timers who stay with one company and boost their own department at the expense of other departments in the same company, getting praise for their efforts while the company nosedives due to their effort.
Kodak failed because it had too many MBAs in positions of power, like any other parasite, they eventually kill the host.
