This is true. But if you're just using your cable company as an ISP, they are simply a common carrier and there is nothing that differentiates them from any other ISP. Since there is no value added by their content line-up over anyone else, you're more likely to jump ship and be more price sensitive. Also, they're losing out on ad revenues.

I've had interior electronics wear out just from the thermal cycles from polar vortexes, and you're talking about these sort of temperature swings year in year out for decades.

Of course, a Tesla is probably going to be junked after ten years or so when its battery really starts to fail and it's uneconomical to replace a 500kg battery.

Even if they manage to make a genuinely 100% autonomous driving car that requires absolutely no input on any road with any traffic conditions, how well are the systems going to work after years of continuous use?

Supposing there are layers upon layers of redundancy meant to stop a catastrophic accident, increasing the number of electronics increases the number of modes of failure for which there's no way to test. If Tesla can't even get hands free Bluetooth down, how are we supposed to believe Musk's claims about the reliability of a fully autonomous car.
