Actually GNOME served an excellent purpose, one that arguably KDE still doesn't get - usability. GNOME 2 was developed according to a set of Human Interface Guidelines and the project strictly enforced them. As a consequence GNOME 2 was minimalist, consistent, not laden down with heaps of settings, forgiving, and sane out of the box.

Removing features that's what Gnome HIG is. I prefer to live without usability if that means what it means in Gnome.

Well, there is a "system color scheme" (or similar; in dropdown) in that Shift+F12 dialog, but how that'll work for I don't know. I certainly do not have so many gray color text in my theme, but it is present in Opera.

Average Gamer Is 37 Years Old 295

kolbe writes "A new study from the Entertainment Software Association suggests that the average age of today's gamers is between the 37 and 41 years old. If true, does this mean that game studios should be adjusting their demographics accordingly? Is Generation X the next 'baby boomer' market for the gaming industry?"

In order to create an account you must allow cookies (these pre-registration cookies serve as nonce values to help prevent spam).[/quote] Why would you need those? You don't. Also, when you press register button then you have an intent to register. There are way too many sites who just slap cookies as soon as you open them. Even if I don't even intended to be there longer than reading 1 page. Why would I need that cookie? There are even some which don't even work with those disabled. Now that's something.
