Well my point was that there are some cases in the ordinary operation of the vehicle where you have to take a hand off the wheel, so you don't necessarily need both hands on the wheel to drive. In fact, because I drive a manual transmission vehicle, I have one hand off of the steering wheel a large amount of the time and thats just to operate the vehicle correctly, not even including stereo or environmental controls

I guess driving a car with a manual transmission should be illegal too because you take a hand off the wheel to shift, or failing that car stereos, window controls, environmental controls etc should be illegal

YOU don't have to send me anything when I send a GET request to your server where as with copyright infringement, the owners don't really have a choice in the matter, people will still "pirate" their property regardless but with a website you can make it so that you won't be able to view your content without paying.
But if you do respond to a GET request with content, then I have the ability to choose how I get to see it, if I want to have all the words in a bright pink 72 pt font, then I have the right to and if I don't want to see some parts of the page I don't have to

Regardless, the British was hardly trying to take over the US, they were chiefly concerned with the US trading with France. Also, there was this thing called Manifest Destiny which some Americans believed in, which was the belief that the US was destined to take over the entire continent, so I have reason to believe there was at least some Americans wanting to take over Canada.

Because the closed source drivers/programs usually suck and no one can improve on them except for the company that made them and therefore they won't stop sucking usually. If its open source, then if it sucks people can fix it. I believe Linux has about 1% marketshare or so and just because it has low market share doesn't mean the community should accept every contribution.

When did you last use linux? 5 years ago? I hardly ever fiddle around with my install of Slackware which is supposed to be a lot harder to use then Ubuntu. What do you find thats a lot of work?
