Journal Journal: Just one of the things missing in my life.. 2

As of late.

Good tough exercise.

I'm sitting here having cool down from the first real workout I've had in at least a couple years knowing that I'm going to be very sore tomorrow and probably thursday and happy about that.

The annoyance and frustration that I drove home with has thankfully melted away and I suspect that I am going to sleep quite soundly tonight.

I've been putting a lot of effort into changing areas of my life that I was not happy with and I think that one of the items that I was overlooking is the fact that I have not been exercising.

Now it will just be a matter of keeping up with it. If I can keep this up for two months I'll start looking for a martial arts school and get back into that.

But for now, I think a shower is in order.

Journal Journal: Warm room.. 1

Anyone else have an Xbox 360?

Have you noticed how much it'll warm a room up after a few hours of playing?

Its cool outside but so warm in my room that I had to kick the A/C. I had a window open and a fan blowing in but between the TV, Tivo, PC, Xbox 360 and my lamp its just too much even for the cool air out there.

Feh.

Movies

Journal Journal: Superman Returns. 1

Go see it.

No seriously.

I said go see it.

I'll wait.

Why haven't you left yet? It's worth seeing in the theater; in fact I would recommend doing so, it'll be a very good movie even on DVD / the smaller screens but I think its going to lose a bit of its magic.

I fully intend on seeing the movie again at least once more in the theater.

This will mark the second summer in a row that I've seen a movie more than once in the theater; last year the movies were Batman Begins and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Journal Journal: random.. 2

I want to drive a tank to work.

The gas milage would probably be awful but it would solve sitting in traffic.

No one else gets one, just me.

No fun if everyone else gets one.

Hell I don't even need a working gun on top, I just want to be able to drive over whatever the fuck gets in my way.

Journal Journal: Pissed off all day. Still pissed off. 5

and I'll probably go to sleep this way.

Ever have one of those days where you just wake up and the first thing you think is that you'd like to break something? Or someone? Or maybe both?

That's about how I've felt all day.

I've kept it in check and it hasn't been that rough of a day, I've just been anywhere from mildly aggrivated to rather angry all day. My drive home from work this evening of course didn't help because no one could seem to drive the fucking speed limit tonight.

As to the real reason I've been in a bad mood all day? I have no fucking clue; I was fine when I went to sleep last night. Just woke up angry this morning.

With any luck I'll wake up tomorrow morning and be calm again.

Journal Journal: Tetris DS - WiFi.. 1

I am completly and utterly addicted to playing Tetris against opponents from 'round the world.

Oh is it fun. I really love the DS' wireless capabilities.

I bought Tetris DS and Brain Age about a week ago, both are excellent.

TL I know you have a DS though I don't know if you still play it at all. If you like/liked Tetris I'd recommend it for the DS; lots of fun.

At some point I'll actually start playing Oblivion too, probably during or after my vacation that starts late next week.

Journal Journal: I can't get this out of my head..

One of the songs off of 10,000 Days.

I can't wait to hear the new songs played live; they're going to be awesome. Though I hope when they tour again they play Flood live too, first time I saw them they did this wickedly awesome extended version of Flood, absolutly brutal... Anyway...

The Pot - Tool

Who are you to wave your finger?
Ya' must have been out your head
EYE HOLE deep in muddy waters
You practically raised the dead

Rob the grave, to snow the cradle
Then burn the evidence down
Soapbox,house of cards,and glass
So don't go tossin' your stones around

You must have been high
You must have been high
You must have been

Foot in mouth, and head up ASS
SO WHATCHA talkin' 'bout?
Difficult to dance 'round this one
'til you pull it out, boy!

You must have been, so high
You must have been, so high

Steal, borrow, refer, save your shady inference
KANGAROO done hung the juror with the innocent

Now will you weep or, CHANGE THE CHOSEN INTO GOLD
GOT LEMON JUICE UP IN YOUR EYE

When you pissed all over my black kettle
You must have been high, high
You must have been high, high
Who are you to wave your finger? So full of it
Eyeballs deep in muddy waters
Fuckin' hypocrite

Liar, lawyer, mirror, show me
What's the difference?
KANGAROO done hung the guilty with the innocent

NOW!!
Will you weep or CHANGE THE CHOSEN INTO GOLD
GOT LEMON JUICE UP IN YOUR EYE
When you pissed all over my black kettle
You musta been!

So who are you to wave your finger?
Who are you to wave your MIGHTY fingers at me?
You must, have been, out your, mind!

Reefer chased off indigo
Trapped without a reason
Reefer chased off indigo

Liar, lawyer,
Mirror for ya,
What's the difference?
KANGAROO be stoned
He's guilty as the government

NOW
Will you weep or CHANGE THE CHOSEN INTO GOLD
GOT LEMON JUICE UP IN YOUR EYE
EYE

Now when you pissed all over my black kettle
You musta been high, high, high, high
Eyeballs deep in muddy waters
YOU'RE balls deep in muddy waters
Ganja Police, you must, have been, out your mind!!!!

Can't wait to hear this one live as well as at least four others from the new album so far. It's going to be a long way into the summer/fall for them to hit the NY/NJ area.

So what song is stuck in your head?

Journal Journal: Yikes.. I like Vodka but...

...not with Red Bull.

That is a very vile and disgusting combination. At the beginning of the evening a friend handed me one and asked me to try it. I drank most of it then switched to Vodka and Cran-Rasberry for the rest of the evening.

However it seems that the red bull is causing chaos with my stomach now about eight hours later. I am greatly looking forward to the end of said chaos.

The night was good otherwise, hung out with some good friends, was presented a birthday cake with ginormous boobies drawn on them in sugar gel frosting stuff. I forbade anyone to take a picture as one of my friends also works with me and I did not wish to see my birthday cake posted to our company interal site.

Otherwise just a fun mellow night. I had a nice buzz going till about 11pm then I cut down, stopped drinking all together and started the water treatment. Got home about ten minutes ago, and will shortly crawl in to bed to sleep for serveral hours.

Nothing terribly exciting tonight but then I'm turning 28 on Monday, not really a "big" age to be turning now is it?

How as your Friday night?

Movies

Journal Journal: Question..

Much like the movies that followed it, why is that the soundtrack for The Matrix was so good, and the second and third movies weren't so good?

I'm still disappointed with the second and third movies.

This useless JE brought to you by a sitting through The Matrix soundtrack.

Journal Journal: Vicarious... Off of 10,000 Days -- Or new Tool song!! 2

Oh my it was worth the wait. Of course part of my elation is just to have new music from Tool, so consider me biased.

I'm giving it a listen right now, if any of you haven't heard the song yet and need a new Tool music fix to hold you over until the May 2nd let me know and I'll see about setting you up. :)

It's going to be a long two weeks waiting for the new album so I can hear the rest of what they've created, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Journal Journal: Birthday Meme

I'm actually going to participate in this one. :)

April 24th is me.

Three Events:

1184 BC - Greeks enter Troy using the Trojan Horse (traditional).
1898 - Spanish-American War: Spain declares war on the United States.
1981 - The first IBM PC is introduced.

Two Births:

1941 - John Williams, Australian guitarist.
1930 - Richard Donner, American film director and producer

One Death:

1967 - Vladimir Komarov, cosmonaut (b. 1927)

I actually did a report when I was back in middle school that included Vladimir Komarov. Though I forgot about it until I read his bio writeup on Wikipedia.

Anyone else feel like their eyes are bleeding because of the hot pink motif that /. is suddenly sporting for April 1?

Journal Journal: Yuck.

So I just got done with a deposition, the first one I've ever had to endure.

Talk about the most boring repeatative shit I've ever dealt with; I can think of several dozen things I would have preferred to be doing with my four and a half hours.

Ahh well, I didn't know anything and with any luck I won't have to go back or become part of the trial. Don't know if I helped either side but wow did that suck.

At least I had nothing to gain or lose here, and it isn't a criminal matter so it was merely an annoyance.

Happy to be done with it though.

Journal Journal: I'm batman!

Ok I wish I was even 1/10th as cool as Batman. :)

But I am starting to watch Batman The Animated Series Vol. 1.

I took too long to buy it, but I am really happy I did. I think I will be going to buy volumes 2-4 Real Soon Now.
