Journal Journal: Had to block more Slashdot 3rd party ad servers

cdn-social.janrain.com

cloudfront.com and coudfront.net

They would block the page from loading until the ad loaded, which wouldn't. So fuck 'em!

Hey Slashdot! Get a brain! Host the stupid ads yourself if you want us to see them! And make them static...

Journal Journal: *sigh* Yet Another Nothing Burger... 19

New day, same shit, oh well... Waddya gonna do? After all the yelling and screaming we get the very definition of anticlimax... I expected it to go this way, but the feeling of disappointment is still there. And for sure the yelling and screaming won't diminish...

Major banks are cutting off business with the gun industry, roiling Republicans who want to respect the financial decisions of private institutions while still showing their unyielding support of the Second Amendment.

Of course a dead buttered cat will probably land on its side.

"I understand that's the government and these are private-sector companies, but they're federally chartered banks, and there's a lot of federal management that goes into the operation of our banking system," Crapo said in an interview. "So I'm concerned."

Ah, well, yes, coming from them, that's all very amusing, but after the election we will still be left with the same republicans and democrats minus a few that wisely decided to cash out. That number might grow considerably over the summer. They just want to legalize all their filthy vices (they're mine too, so please do) before they cut out.

Gee! Can it get any more obvious??

The state House had approved a tax break that could provide a $40 million benefit to the airline, but members of the Senate vowed to fight the deal after Delta dropped its discounted fares Saturday for members of the NRA.

I keep on saying you can only go with what you can prove .

...Dworkin's Super PAC promotes fear through a repeating cycle of Russian-based propaganda, which garners donations, which pay consultants that generate those stories over and over again, garnering yet more donations. As to what purpose his Super PAC actually serves, it appears to be little more than a Möbius strip of self-serving opportunism.

There is nothing political about a scam.

And there appears to be wide spread failure of the Turing Test in the general population. I mean, it's very disturbing to see people that you thought you knew believe what they see on Facebook. In combination with all the Xanax in the water, who knows what to expect any more?
