This is quite similar to an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) exercise. I was talking with my downstairs neighbor who works with autistic kids; we got to talking about ADD (it's on the spectrum and perhaps benefits from this too), OCD, PTSD.... she said there does seem to be some link with the eyes and information processing in this regard. Apparently it can help with the information moving from one hemisphere of the brain to the other??
Seems to me that perhaps exercises like this could help the mind as well as just the muscles, and perhaps that's actually part of what works. I'd love to hear from someone more well-versed in cognition, neuro, behavior, or other fields that could weigh in on this!

What about other symptoms? How about long term effects? Can the virus stick around and continue to cause damage somehow even after a person has been vaccinated?

Yes, it's terrible that it's killing people. However, the long haul implications are really troubling too so I'm curious if these vaccines will vaccinate against the disease doing any damage at all, not just against hospitalization.

So if they win this could that also extend to tax law? This suddenly means that losses acquired by taking on a company would also be null and void. THere's a direct contradiction to this, as losses now have an infinite time period to be taken against a business that's been purchased at a loss.
It's a boned-head notion to equate the two, I'm aware, but it still FEELS as if the two ought to go together. I wonder how this'll play out. Trump's deadly Tax Act provision about infinite losses (which benefited him of course) or Disney's deadly idea about not taking on obligations upon purchase of an entity.

Shocked, I'm telling you. Shocked.

Now that we've elected someone somehow EVEN MORE nutso elitist and destructive than GWB, the rest of the world is apt to pass on relying on the U.S. anymore.

Trump is ushering in the end of America as we know it, and I'd advise anyone with sense to start seriously looking after their own unless something REALLY BIG and good happens in the next 4-8 years. I'm not hopeful anymore.

Who remembers the move to x86/Unix, away from RISC chips (I believe)? There was celebration in the digital streets (at least on my particular block of it).
My friends dreamed that Macs would be able to run all PC software and it would be great. Cross-compatibility, and lollipops and unicorns for everyone. Now it appears that Apple has gotten the market share it wanted and is ready to move back to a new version of the old days.

I still don't particularly like Macs, and we can go back to the polarized Mac vs PC debate for another 20-30 years. Fun!

Google Fiber is a perfect example, read up on it:

The head of it was making great strides. They spun it off to ABC. Then the MBAs started coming talking about how it wasn't making a profit right then, and the entire idea got massively scaled back even though it could have changed the entire telco landscape with some vision and more chutzpah (I had it for a short time and it was incredible), and the original creator left (if I'm not mistaken). This seems to have happened time and time again at Google. They start growing something incredible but before it can really take off they chop it away.

There's no consistency, and for that reason I don't want anything to do with their projects no matter how exciting they sound at first.

I remember first picking up those books at about age 9 and recall reading a passage by Gygax near the beginning of either the PHB or DMG that specifically said he was only using "him" and "her" for the sake of ease and to keep in mind that everyone can play.
I've played some games with people who knew and worked with Gary, and I always had the impression that D&D was diverse to begin with. We were all just outcast weirdo nerds, and while we've grown up to be imperfect too I've always had a soft spot for the outcast and have never had issues with diversity in these sorts of things.

Also, a friend of mine who plays Magic in the tournament circuit says he feels that players don't seem to care, nd they mostly see it as stupid virtue signalling by a company owned by a larger toy company (Hasbro, I think?)
