Journal Journal: Explained to me again... 2

why these me are allowed to retire? Why aren't they facing a Courts Martial?

Army Surgeon General Kevin C. Kiley abruptly stepped down under pressure from military superiors, the third top Army official forced out in the fallout from revelations of shabby treatment of wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The Army said Monday that Lt. Gen. Kiley had submitted a request to retire over the weekend. Acting Army Secretary Pete Geren had asked Kiley for his retirement, said a senior defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk about the events.

Kiley's removal underscored how the controversy, which began with reports of dilapidated outpatient housing and a nightmarish bureaucracy at the Army's flagship hospital, has snowballed into a far broader problem for the Bush administration.

Acting Army Secretary Pete Geren has had his position for less than two weeks, having replaced Army Secretary Francis Harvey, who was dismissed March 2. Maj. Gen. George W. Weightman, who had been in charge of Walter Reed since August 2006, was ousted from his post the day before.

Journal Journal: IPO 8

A few year back I worked for a startup company. Yup, had the options and everything. I was geared up to receive in the neighborhood of $10 million. Then Y2K and all that it brought and my options couldn't by me a 9cent cup of coffee.

Fast forward to today and... it looks like the company is back and *poof* my stock options have matured into Stock (far, far, far less than the original 10 million) and they're expecting to IPO this Winter...

Funny how things work out.

Journal Journal: What a crock of... 12

The born-again Xian asshats(R) are at it again:

Haggard now "completely heterosexual"

DENVER - One of four ministers who oversaw three weeks of intensive counseling for the Rev. Ted Haggard said the disgraced minister emerged convinced that he is "completely heterosexual."

- and now ready to persecute those who aren't heterosexual! Cause you got to hate the SIN and not the SINNER! -

Haggard also said his sexual contact with men was limited to the former male prostitute who came forward with sexual allegations, the Rev. Tim Ralph of Larkspur told The Denver Post for a story in Tuesday's edition.

"He is completely heterosexual," Ralph said. "That is something he discovered. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing."

- Yup. It was cause he was stressed and having a male prostitute relieved his special stress. -

Ralph said the board spoke with people close to Haggard while investigating his claim that his only extramarital sexual contact happened with Mike Jones. The board found no evidence to the contrary.

"If we're going to be proved wrong, somebody else is going to come forward, and that usually happens really quickly," he said. "We're into this thing over 90 days and it hasn't happened."

Haggard resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. He was also forced out from the 14,000 New Life Church that he founded years ago in his basement after Jones alleged Haggard paid him for sex and sometimes used methamphetamine when they were together. Haggard, who is married, has publicly admitted to "sexual immorality."

Haggard said in an e-mail Sunday, his first communication in three months to church members, that he and his wife, Gayle, plan to pursue master's degrees in psychology. The e-mail said the family hasn't decided where to move but that they were considering Missouri and Iowa.

- Not California? Really? Damn... -

Another oversight board member, the Rev. Mike Ware of Westminster, said the group recommended the move out of town and the Haggards agreed.

"This is a good place for Ted," Ware said. "It's hard to heal in Colorado Springs right now. It's like an open wound. He needs to get somewhere he can get the wound healed."

- Translation: he needs to go somewhere where people don't really know that he had sex with men over and over and over and over and shot up speed to have more sex with men. After he finds a place where the Xians don't know him, he can open another church and pilfer more funds and find cleaner male prostitutes to fuck. -

It was also the oversight board that strongly urged Haggard to go into secular work.

when you're backing out of a parking space, please make sure my Mom isn't there. Thanks.

My Mom was knocked across the parking aisle and into a parked car by an Asshat in a Mercedes. Guy tried to drive off, but off-duty Brea PD stopped him and took his keys.

Paramedics cleared my Mom, but Anaheim PD arrested the fucktard Mercedes driver because the Brea PD guy said he was clearly leaving the scene. Only after the Brea PD guy ran acrocc the parking lot and stood in front of the Mercedes and badged him did he stop and surrender.

Idiot.

"To say that this exhibition is moving would be an understatement. Words always fall short when we try to describe our respect, sympathy and profound gratitude to those who have sacrificed everything in the service to our nation...The artists have succeeded where our words have failed."

Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday proposed to extend health coverage to nearly all of California's 6.5 million uninsured people, promising to spread the cost among businesses, individuals, hospitals, doctors, insurers and government.

The plan contains elements that are likely to provoke opposition from a wide range of powerful interests, including doctors, hospitals and insurers, as well as employers and unions. But it also contains incentives for each of them.

"That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I've ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself on the public," the 68-year-old daredevil said Tuesday.

My money is on Evel Knievel.

Kids... please don't listen to the talking heads on CNN and FOX in regards to Real Estate.

First, there is no bubble. Never was one. Never will be one. Ok?

Second, Winter is ALWAYS the slowest time of the year for new home sales, resale, refi, and new construction. Ok? Want to buy a house? Buy it in Winter. Want to sell a house? Sell it in Spring or Summer.

Third, brokers ALWAYS lie and cheat and steal and can't be trusted. That said, they'll find you the best deals everytime - just stay on them and read the details.

Last, pay the extra money for the roof inspection.

That's it.

Have a nice day.

Wish me luck.

Journal Journal: What's in my player? 1

What's on my MP3/Phone?

1. The Who - Baba O'Riley
The single greatest rock song of all time.

2. MC5 - Kick Out the Jams
Nothing more powerful - live. Maybe, The Who, but they had a lot more money for a bigger PA.

3. Iggy Pop - Lust For Life
Iggy exhudes everything he sings about and this is his crowning gem - what an amazing song (that was ruined by a fucking Cruise line)

4. X - Johnny Hit And Run Paulene
Saw them for the first time at the Whiskey when I was 14. They are what Punk was truely all about: fuck everything that came before and sing about what you know. And they were LA royalty.

5. The Clash - Clash City Rockers
My favorite band of all time. None better. Sang about things that really mattered (no imaginary frogs in real gardens for these lads). Powerful. Stunning. Melodic.

6. Black Flag - Rise Above
Scared the shit out of everyone when they hit LA. So far ahead of anyone, they truely were Public Enemy Number 1 in LA for a while. And now, Rollins is accepted as an elder statesmen artist.

7. Bad Religion - What Can You Do?
I still go see these guys when they play. Most intelligent punk band on the planet.

8. Fishbone - Party At Ground Zero
Never ever got the recognition they deserved.

9. The Jam - In The City
One of most amazing bands that died at the height of their fame - just the right time.

10. Minor Threat - Straight Edge
Single-handedly launched the Straight Edge movement with this song and represented a whole generation of kids lost during the Reagan Occupation.

Journal Journal: BCS 2006 3

And here we go again:

  1. Ohio State
No arguement here. They seem to be the best team in the country. Of course, they'll be tested when Michigan comes a'callin.

  2. USC
By the skin of their teeth. I don't expect USC to survive Oregon, Cal, or Notre Dame.

  3. Michigan
The second best team in the country. Maybe better than Ohio State.

  4. Auburn
Huh? Number 4? I think Saturday's victory was more emotion than skill.

  5. West Virginia
Will somebody please explain to me why in the world West Virginia is in the top 5? They DON'T paly anyone of note, except Louisville. How can you judge a team when it hasn't been tested?

  6. Florida
Seriously? Number 6? Hmmmm....

  7. Louisville
Good team. Don't think they could hang with the elite programs.

  8. Notre Dame
Early loss to a very good Michigan team. Still a lot of unanswered questions.

Ok, so here is what I see for the remainder of the season:

1. Ohio State - rolls through to Michigan. Michigan wins by 3.
2. USC - loses to Cal and Notre Dame.
3. Michigan - rolls through to Ohio. Beats Ohio by 3.
4. Auburn - rolls to Georgia. Wins by 1 at home to Georgia. Rating drops.
5. West Virginia - rolls until Louisville comes knocking. Loses to Louisville and Rutgers.
6. Florida - rolls to FSU. Loses at FSU by 3.
7. Louisville - beats West Viriginia, loses to Rutgers.
8. Notre Dame - rolls through to USC. Beats USC by 14. Moves to number 2 in the country for a rematch with Michigan.
