+ - Apple's system down for 3G phones

Anonymous Coward writes "I have been holding out for the 3G iPhone because there are still very long lines in NYC. Today I called a store and they told me it was an hour and a half wait. I thought why not and proceeded to the store on 14th St. After waiting 2.5 hours an Apple rep came and told us that the AT&T/Apple system was down for the first time since launch and it would likely not be up again until tomorrow. We were close to the front of the line but were offered nothing for wasting our time. We were told we would have to go through the process again at a later date if we still wanted a phone. I thought I was smart for waiting this long to upgrade to 3G...BUT...I was also blinded by the hype. LAAAAAAMME."
