+ - Truecrypt 5.0 encrypts the OS partition

Submitted by Anonymous Coward
An anonymous reader writes "Truecrypt 5.0 has been released. Truecrypt is open source disk encryption software. It encrypts and decrypts disk I/O on the fly, can mount encrypted container files and partitions and provides plausible deniability. New features in 5.0 include system partition encryption with pre-boot authentication for Windows, a MacOS X version, much increased speed due to pipelined I/O, more secure hash algorithm and block encryption mode and a GUI for the Linux version."
