What film genres really benefit from HD?

Comments Filter:
  • The thing is that pretty much any film genre can benefit from hd as it allows the viewer to better enjoy the quality of the photography and any other imagery, all of which is central in the inherently visual medium of film.

The problem isnt that you need a particular genre, but rather that you need good set design, cg, and photography. Clerks ( the original ) isn't going to benefit from HD but Barry Lyndon, Ran and Blade Runner all will.
